The Force are you saying that you know a verse in the bible that states 39 , if so , I would love to see it. I think what you are refering to is the jewish custom of flogging or scourging in which 39 lashes was the norm , as it was thought that 40 or more would kill the person.It was a so called act of mercy to take "1" back and do only 39. The whole act of scourging was to take the person to "within one inch" of death then stop so that they could then crucify them!
Did I, as a Christian, ever bring up the fact that there's something wrong with horror movies, or Backfire's tastes in general? Nope. That was another one of your blanketed statements. As for your "godbashing", it doesn't matter that God itself isn't in these forums, what does matter is that we maintain some level of civility in discussion. Like I said before, what you are doing by imposing what YOU think Christians feel or think about others makes you just as guilty as anyone else finding faults in others, and cowardly using them as a leg to stand on in debate. That goes for both sides.
