Look yers! I NEVER said numbers dont matter, I was stating that numbers are important to the fact that the movie proved the film and secuilar world wrong, because it did such GREAT numbers! The real and only issue is that it is spreading the message.

And I wasnt talking to you, unless your name is now finti. I am sure he can answer for himself!

We were talking about population of christians , and I dont care if "they' normally block all the countries together or not, the point is that is NOT a fair comparison to the US(all by itself) then!!
who said it to be fair, soon most of Europe will be a part of what is called the European union ( a sad thing, but even so it is a fact) And for your info, in a survey done through out Europe about who big a percentage of the population considered themselfs Christians, Norway tied Sweden for dead last. The only countries to have below 50%

quote:
finti, give me a break! So the only reason we have so many people coming to the US, is how close we are to them?? Thats just stupid! Use whatever figures you want, we have the most number of immigrants coming in that all other countries.
they chose USA cause it is closer to them than Europe is, but we have our share of immigrants from both the former East block countries of Europe, Africa, Asia. Actually illigal immigration is one of the biggest problems of the European countries at the moment, except Finland cause they have extremly strict imigration rules and foreigners stick out as a sore thumb in that country eek!

quote:
What country is better overall than the US, then? Please inform me.
what so great about it, i sure must have missed out on it when I lived there

actually it doesnt, I was just pleased to see that we were able to see through the hype of this movie here in Norway.
I guess 9 years of mandatory christianity as a subject in school kind of made us sick and tired of the entire story

and while we are at it it cant be denied the fact that POTC have done extremly well at the box offices. The number speaks for it self and that it was able to do half the numbers ROTK did is inself an achivement. Usually block busters like these are years appart

I will produce the numbers I am speaking of and we will see what is what!Just for the sake of the arguement!

But like I said the main reason others like me have brought up numbers is because thats what most people use to judge movies, and when "they" said that the Passion would not do good , and it did what it has done, it proved a hugh point!

I am totally happy and satisfied with all the records it hasnt beaten, I really could care less if it beats rings overall or not. It WILL go down in history as one of the most seen movies of all time ,and that is good enough for me!

well its run is far from over ...so we will see in the end wont we!

I will say, lets just wait and see what this movie does once it goes to vhs and dvd movies!

Controversy had nothing to do with its success! The majority of the people seeing it , know the story of its truth and were going to see it no matter what! A very small percent saw it due to the "fuss".

Bottom line it has sent so many records that ALOT of other movies would kill for, so what? The bottom line , is what the movie does for th world ,and the Passion is head and shoulders above ALL movies even rings!

I know for a fact that even if Passion did end up beating rings, you (finti and yers) would still try to bash it! So why should I and others really care about world wide box office numbers?
