That being said id hate to give you advice that messes up your future or financial security, especially when you have a kid (nice to see another dad in the thread). So maybe talk it through with your Uncle and see what he thinks, hopefully he will appreciate you being honest and open with him and reciprocate. If he doesnt mind you staying then get what you can from the fat cats and drop them once you have your degree. They would be the first to tell you there are no friends in business. If he does want you to leave then i would respect his wishes, but make sure he understands what you will be giving up. Hey maybe he could pull some strings at his new job and hook you up there.
Hope that helps man, good luck.

i feel ya on that family comes first, that's how it's been all my life

well, i got to talk with my uncle earlier this evening... and he told me that he will take me with him on the new job. he also told me that the new job wouldnt pay as much, about 40% decrease, and there will be a lot more work than the previous one because this firm is a more "public" corporation. but the problem is my uncle seems to think that i really am behind him through all this shit, man, its like he's not even thinking that i might possibly be contemplating staying with the company. i know i shouldve talked to him already, but i just cant break that nigga's heart. after that he kept on talking bout how i should go to law school, he even offered financial help. sad

the thing is im thinking about asking the lawyer who talked to me about my future if i stay. you know, like will i still be paid the same amount and whose office will i be transferred and will i have a stable future with the company (opportunities for promotion and shit). but to me that seems like a snake move already, but if i dont do it i cant really weigh my options. you think i should ask those things?

i appreciate the help

I've been listening to alot of C-Rayz's Ravipops and random El-P stuff, i want some more Def Jux releases. What do you think of Ravipops? I think it's a pretty good album, just good ol' fun hip hop. 'We Live' is a awesome track, lyrically and production wise.

Tell me about it man, that preview track that D00m posted a while back is such a tease. If the whole album is as good as From the Planet Eat i'll be a happy backpacker. wink

Koolmotor is easily worth buying. Once you'll hear it you'll know why it's a "slept on" album.

and here's that Supa album you wanted Kool:

You should kill two birds with one stone and pick up the Hangar 18 album then. It's like Ultramagnetic MCs meets Cannox. Fun hip-hop with a Def Jukie twist.

Ravipops is the shit. C Rayz in general is the shit. You def gotta check his other albums because he's worth gettin into, imo.

Since you want some more El-p/Jux, here's some new El tracks:

Everything Must Go

and here's a sick track from the Bomb the System soundtrack:

A must listen for any Jux fan.
