The colors of dragon are important there is actually a type of dragon for all four houses but i will let someone else figure that out ... eitherway... Slytherins is either the Black or the Red.... The Black are known for being servants to Dark lords and are known for thier ferocity, cunning and ruthlessness.

Red are known for shear evil, size (largest of them all), ferocity, cunning, and greed.... they are usually leaders of others and influence lesser species to wage wars.
