I'm guessing Isildur would probably turn out like Gollum. He'll isolate himself gradually, and all that. You get the idea.
The Dwarves who had their rings were too tough. Too hard-ass and Sauron had a hard time with them. That's why they were'nt turned into Nazgul if that's possible.
Those Men with the 9 Rings basically just became invisible and their souls are now permanently attached to the Shadow World. They're just wearing those black cloaks in some cases when they have some dealings with the creatures in the "normal" world so they can see them.
hey thats am good question.. what happened to the 7 rings gived to the dwarf-lords? ..please based information..not silly answers ....EXA

if memory serves me right (which it doesn't), wern't the 9 kings of men giving another 9 rings by sauron himself?

I dont think he wouldve become a Nazgûl as they are only wraiths because they are bound by the power of the One and slaves of their rings - but how could Isildur be a slave to someone when it's himself who's wearing the ring... no, I think he would have become powermad or something, or would like Gollum have sought for peace in some lonely place... earlier or later, he wouldve given the Ring to Sauron I think, as soon as the Dark Lord had recovered his strength.
only the bearer and the fate of the First and at the same time Last of the Seven rings [of the others we only have the information that some were recovered by Sauron, some devoured by the dragons that took possession of the treasuries of the dwarves]
This last ring of the first house belonged to Thráin II when it was lost... the dwarf was captured by Sauron and imprisoned in Dol Guldur where he was tortured and Sauron took the Ring; several years later Gandalf found him there, and before he died, Thráin gave a key and a map to Gandalf which were handed to Thórin - who started the journey to the Lonely Mountain.

golum WOULD have become one if he had put the ring on more often...but living in a cave he had no need for it......
its not the ring you become a slave to its saurons will.......the nazgul were 'slaves of the ring' because at the time they were called that all saurons will was on the ring
In ROTK when sam is giving Frodo the ring, is he reluctant because he is being tempted, or is it because Frodo was really brisk in saying "give me the ring!"
At first I thought that Sam was actually concerned on what the ring is doing to Frodo and he's reluctant to give back to ring because of his dear Mr. Frodo but then again the second tme I watched it seemed more like Sam was more reluctant because he wants to keep the ring but hasn't had that long of a time for it to have effect on him so he gave back the ring.

Oh thank you for clearing that up sauron I've only read the book once and I don't really read many books so I don't really understand what's going on sometimes
if he had to be tempted, at least it's temptaion of destroying the ring, but, why is it only Frodo that has to destroy the ring? because he only does it by accident really.
yep, sam wanted to be the hero and also the power of the ring was coming strong onto Sam now (seeing as they were in Mordor and so close to Gorgoroth), just like when Sam asked to "share the load" that Frodo was reluctant to give it to him......and even told him where to go..

@exa, probably just when he recovered its strength, I think Isildur would have turned into a Gollum like creature and devoured into pretty much crap!
How did sauron currupt the minds of the 9 kings in the first place?
