Artest Challenges Bowen

Gregg Popavich (Spurs coach) criticized the Pacers for using uncomparible stats to help Artest win Defensive Player of the Year. He thought it was kind of like cheating to win. He believed that Bruce Bowen deserved it more than Artest as well. Artest was angered by these statements and challenged Bruce to a game of one on one. If Artest loses, he'll hand over the trophy to Bruce. There is no word yet if this will happen.

I don't think Popovich said those words, that doesn't sound like something he would say. Maybe they were misconstrued or something. How do you use "uncomparable stats?"

Anyway, I doubt this would happen, but Bowen would destroy Artest. Maybe. Artest is a better shooter than Bowen.

Bruce Bowen.

That stats were uncomparable because the numbers were only given for Artest, and weren't calculated for comparison for players such as Bowen. Similar to if the NBA didn't calculate blocks and then the Pacers calculated that Jermaine had 2.5 blocks per game but never said how many Ben Wallace had.

Anyway, doesn't look like this one on one match is going to happen, but I think Artest would kill Bowen in one on one because of their style of game.

yah...Bowen would get destroyed by Artest. Bowen's a jump shooter, not a driver. He wouldn't be able to score on Artest.

Ok, this is about new comments of Artest but I decided not to make a new topic for it. Artest in this coming issue of SLAM said that he thinks he should have been MVP. He says that he deserves it because he was the best player on the best team. LOL! What a little *****.
