I like anime, but let's not bet too generous; a great deal of it is aimed at teenage males.

nt necessaraly,not in japan anyway.,..thats just what we see here in america.Anime isn't generally aimed at anyone.Theres alot of Hentai(playboy addicts*cough cough*)Josei(ladies manga)...your typical shounen and shoujo,and so forth.You can't really say its aimed at teenage boys,because in the US,unless your a non "network" fan,all you really know s DBZ and shit...

Anime itself isn't aimed at anyone, no, but any given anime is. You just named the groups: shounen (teenage boys), shoujo (girls), and so forth. I am going to guess that the two most popular groups are in fact shounen and shoujo, both of which are aimed at teenage audiences--I think a lot of people who gush about how "mature" manga is forget this.

Simple. America and Europe can't get over the fact that they think cartoons are just for kids. So they only show kid anime like Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh. The good stuff gets shunted to one side or put on so late only the undead are awake to watch it. (Oh yeah and it's easier to merchindise stuff like Pokemon, but that's got nothing to do with it )
i don't understand how you cannot like anime please it is really good the art work put into it, i think chobits are really cute that is what anime is all about i think ppl can agree with me on that
People who have never seen series like Berserk could probably agree that anime is all about being cute.

The drawings in Anime are very cool and genius. I like the interesting contast of colours and the way the characters are portrayed. So I think Anime's pretty cool.

Yeah, it was deleted from the movie, but it was a cool line.
As going back to topic I like anime very much but I dis-like some of their shows as they can get very confusing at some points, but my favourites are Pokemon, Digimon and DragonBall Z. You may think that it's weird for a girl to like DragonBall Z but I know lots of girls that like it. Well I don't like it so much any more........
Pokemon IS cute..but sadly..men just don/t seem to get that.They think thery are all hardcore/badass/they can't appriciate cute things..thats just sad....WHERE ARE ALL THE SENSITIVE GUYS HERE?

Actualy I kinda agree the POKEMON are cute, but I hate the story line of Pokemon. And I just hate their voices (the Pokemon). They are cute....but they are also anoying
