What are you talking about BC? Linkin Park have some of the best lyrics of all time! They don't "try too hard" they sing what they want, when they want, where they want about who they want. Same with Greenday and RHCP. Now don't tell me they try too hard aswell.

There are so many bands that take a lot of influence from rap, either directly in their music or indirectly in their style or personal philosophies toward their music.
Bands like RATM, Crystal Method, Korn, Prodigy, Sublime, Green Day and Chili peppers to name a few

one of the best bands ever.and thats period.they combined meaningfull words through Mike Shinoda's rapping and Chester Benningtons powerfull and gripping vocals to create a sound thats capitivated thousands of peoples hearts and minds.i love the whole rap-rock thing they got going and i think they've really done it well and settled the fued going on between the followers of each genre.i'm more for the urban scene of music but linkin park is my favourite group of all time and chester is the BEST SINGER EVER.PERIOD.

Bullshit. Although I don't share the dislike for the Band some fellow frequenters of this Forum have that is just plain bullshit....I can smell it right through the screen.
They are well liked, yes, that's the only thing that might be true in your post. But come on, best singer? Idiotic. They also didn't actually create that idea...and they don't do it to well either...besides, all their songs sound similar, if not exactly the same. Still, i don't mind them, better than some, worse than a lot.
Wow, I can't believe that this discussion actually exists. Linkin Park is trash. Shinoda should be ashamed of himself for even trying to rap. Chester should try and find another ship to sail before he goes down with this one, artistically I mean. Money-wise they've made more money than they deserve already.
