Hot celebs are fun to look at and even more fun to be a little obsessed over. Tsk, tsk, tsk, Snoopbert, it's okay to be a little jealous of Ced! The guy is hot after all! If I were a guy, I'm sure I'd envy him to! Thank goodness I'm not !!
Gaaaaa, haaa, haaa, haaaa, haaaaaaahd, whyyyy, whyyyyy, whyyyy, can't I grasp this man in reality, why can't I have the physical being that entrances me, he's too sexy to be real, he needed me in this movie with him !
Katie Leung, 18, plays Cho Chang in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. She lives in Scotland with her family.
"When I was in my early teens, I wasn’t very confident. In fact, before getting the part in the film, I’d say I was shy, especially at school. I’d never acted before, but being in front of the camera has really brought me out of myself.
I think confidence comes with age. You have to be able to interact with lots of different people as you grow up and that’s something I learned to do very quickly being on a film set. Many of the people I work with are quite a bit older than me, but I’ve found that differences in age don’t mean that you can’t be friends with someone.
I’m really enjoying being the age I am now. Younger people always look forward to being 18 - it’s a time when you have real freedom for the first time to go out and enjoy yourself and be totally independent.
Having said that, I’m looking forward to maturing a bit. Like most people, I found my early teens frustrating at times. You’re trying to discover who you are but your Mum or Dad are also trying to guide you.
Looking different from most of the people at school never caused me any problems. Still, I never expected the hate sites that popped up on the internet after I got the part in the film. I couldn’t understand why people were so angry - a lot of the messages were from Jealous girls who didn’t like the fact that I play Harry’s love interest in the film and some of them did bring my ethnicity into it.
I’m very proud about how strong I’ve been over it, though, and it has actually motivated me to try even harder and become even more successful.
I don’t think about my looks too much, but maybe that’s because I’m still so young. Luckily I don’t have to work at my figure but I’m aware that’s probably because of my age. I’m not naive though, I know that if I start to put on weight as I get older, I’ll definitely work hard to get rid of it because I won’t be happy.
I’m very close to my grandparents. We’ve always got on brilliantly and they’re more like friends than grandparents, despite the age difference. I hope I can be like that when I’m their age."
I think that she was a little harsh. Maybe a "well I can't satisyfy everyone and no one has seen me preform" rather than immediatly claiming that people are just jealous because of Cho and Harry. I mean, at least this can comfort the poeple who are saying that this will damage her self esteem-this girl seems to think that shes very good for the role-being all pretty and stuff(no consideration that different people have different opinions on looks? beauty is int eh eye of the beholder? so they are all just jealous? There were a signicant amount of girls who wanted Kwon boa to play the role, if they were really jealous they would have promoted themselves. Therefore, maybe, just maybe, they didn't think that she looked right for the role-i mean whether or not she is pretty, she still doesn't have any freckles and she is too tall). Huh, no self-doubting there I suppose. Plus, she could have at least acted grateful for those sites who supported her-based only on two pics. Rather she only concentrated on that negative hype, and getting a lot of sympathtic attention that way.
So far, just judging from the interview, and other interiviews, she seems like a very confident somewhat superficial girl. who has a very ordinary personality (come on, likes all types of music, no artists listed nor specific genres-i mean, she could even list like a million, plus that comment, i like art. maybe ill go to art school. People who go to art school are passionate about art-how about different medias/styles that she enjoys in stead? even I like painting or drawing would have been better-or i like all types of art. and tons of people quit piano/intruments when they were young. why cant she express anything really special about her other than the fact that her father is wealthy? Any speific talents, clubs, hobbies-other than the i like art?) Or even her favorite subject in school, since she cares about her education. If she is so willing to discuss how most of those girls are jealous of her, surely she can list a hobby? THis is just my opinion, I could be wrong, but if I had to judge from the interviews, that is what I would think.
In my opinion, she appears to be very qualified compared to other auditioners, however, I still don't think that she is great for the role because she doesn't seem to fulfill the pretty part in my opinion.
Of course, she could be a very talented, ordinary looking nice girl. To me anyways.
