OK, i'm female & think no way should women be allowed to serve on the frontline. My reasons are that from what I know, men have a protective instinct over us girls & would drop everything to help us if we were hurt, which puts lives at risk. Why should this instinct be forced out of guys just so we can be PC. Also we're not as brave or aggressive as guys, if we're shot & killed it puts the future of the population at risk. I'm not saying that male lives are less important though. Obviously there's the physical strength difference, but that's not an issue if we match the guys exactly in all selection tests etc. I personally like guys to be protective of me, i'd rather be at home with my kids. Why send girls into war when there's hundreds of guys doing nothing. I wouldn't let a kid go to war for me & it's not right that guys should let girls fight for them. If there was a street fight, no guy would let a woman fight for him, even if she did want to.

Do you need to be strong to drive a tank, a truck or pilot a fighter-jet?
No, you don’t. So let the physically strong men mill around with 50 kg’s on their back and run around in the trenches, while we – the fairer gender – get to play with all the cool toys, which can basically pilot/drive themselves with all the high-tech – allowing us to do our nails at the same time.

Unless they change the attitude how kids are brought up with the emphasize on the differences between the sexes, men will always feel protective over women. In military as in the ordinary life.
We do see a change in the military conduct on the entire warfare structure though so who knows if the difrferences more or less will be whiped out.

I suppose the questions we should address is this: Are women and men truly different in the way we think, act and reason? I’m not talking unequal, simply different.
It’s like this: When men get stressed they drink beer and invade other countries. When women are stressed they eat chocolate and go shopping (generalised, but you get the picture I hope). Is this the case because of biology, or because of environment?

the point I was trying to make earlier was that women are more capable of skillfully being more stealthier than man. Yes! Man maybe stronger and can overpower a woman. But women tend to be more resiliant and physically different than man. A women can be more lighter and faster than a men. Women can stretch better than man. Making them more agile and faster.
I'm glad that Fire accepted my point on Joan of Arc she is a prime example of a woman capable of being a warrior.
Storm brought some good argurments earlier about Amazonians. I think that with more research, Archeologist can prove that Amazonians did exist.
But women can be brutal! why do you seem to think that women arent capable of fighting? War is war and whether you are a woman or a man there is no choice but to fight. there are more men in the military but that doenst mean women arent interested in being a part of a nations defense.
not with the women I have encountered during my time in the military. Stealth is a trade you learn, and the one who adapts the best will be the best ones regardless of sex.
To say that women are more agile and faster is just as dumb as if i were to say women tends to be more clumsy than men. thus meaning they wouldnt be suited for stealth misson.
