At least they don't whinge! Even after their shock defeat against Greece they got on with it and are now in the final. Talking of whingers, I'd nominate ITALY, ENGLAND and HOLLAND in that order. Bad losers the lot of them!

Well, they are playing home. They had support. And arent we the team with the most victories recently I heard something on the news but wasnt paying attention.
The England goal was a 50/50 decision. After watching it numerous times, including stills from behind the goal, it does seem that the 'keeper was indeed impeded. And that's the way the ref called it.
I didn't hear the Czechs complaining even though the Greek goal went in the net seconds after the 15 minutes of extra time were up. Collina had every right to blow the whistle immediately the corner was struck.

THAT WC of '86 was the last great one IMO. What a great game Belguim's 4-3 win against the then USSR was! And woe Brazil who lost against France in the quarter final. Again, the last GREAT Brazilian team IMO.

And a pretty good game to boot! Didn't you guys beat Spain in the quarters -straight after their 5-1 defeat of Denmark- to reach the semis only to be defeated by two glorious strikes by Maradona...?
I guess the Argentinians had it in for you after beating them 1-0 in the opening game of Espana '82...

Argentina lost again in the opening game of Italy 90 against Cameroon.
I remember both
I downloaded this about Belgium best player ever: Jan Ceulemans/Belgium
"Belgium reached the second phase in the World Cup of 1982 and Ceulemans is remembered by many for running 80 yards with the ball before passing to a teammate who scored against Hungary in the first round. However, it was not until four years later in Mexico that Jan really shone on soccer’s greatest stage. He captained Belgium to the semifinals where Maradona and Argentina proved to be too strong. Ceulemans had a great tournament and scored three goals. His diving header in the quarterfinal against Spain was a beauty."

I know that this is a little off topic... but does anyone knows where is the next Euro Championship? I know that the next World Championship is in Germany in 2006 and in 2010 it will be in South Africa... but I haven't heard anything about the next Euro.
de kaje!!!!!
Ceulemans played for a loooong time at the best club belgium has... Club Brugge! now he's a trainer at Westerlo (did an awesome job there this season)
and turkesa, it will be a co-host like Belgium-Holland between Austria and Switzerland I think
The info on the next EC is most welcome...I'd actually never heard of/forgotton it myself...IIRC Scotland and ourselves put in a bid for it...heh, I think UEFA laughed it of!!!
Now onto Cuelemans...THAT was the tosser that scored the winner in the Heysel Stadium in '81 that eventually dumped us out of Espana '82...after Frank Stapleton's perfectly good goal was disallowed in the first half...
But no whinging from me...oh, no...but I do think it's time to take down Cueleman's ugly mug from me dart board...
