i dont believe in god, theres no proof he exists and there's plenty against it, i know i sound like a cliche, but if there was a god and he cared for good and bad, he wouldnt let so much horrible shit happen around the world

And you have that right to disagree. "Choice" is another gift given to us by God.
The point is that we are all inherently evil and deserve to go to hell. Only through the belief in Christ as are savior do we become "righteous."
The only reason why you/others don't mind living is because God is still present in this world filled with evil. The "love" that is present in life, including the "love" which is deep within ourselves...comes from him, for as it is written.."God is love."
A world indoctrinated with blasphemies such as "survival of the fittest" and "whatever floats your boat" would come to an abrupt end without "love." This is the type of world we are gradually approaching my friend.
It is written..
It is also written...
As I have stated before..I will state again.
The one who has given all life is the only one who has the right to take it away.
As far as the rape issue goes..You've given a half truth..and decided to mold the rest in a fashion that will fit your argument, or perhaps you just didn't understand the history behind the scripture. Either way..let me give the complete story.
Explanation:
During the Old Testament. God did allow the children of Israel to take wives from neighboring cultures after defeating them in battle. These neighboring cultures were close relatives of the Israelites, and at one time had worshipped the one true God.
As punishment for knowing God's truth, yet still worshipping idols..all the men of these nations were killed by the Israelites, as were all the defiled(non-virgin) women, and their valuables were taken away.
The children and the undefiled women were allowed to live, however, as punishment for the sins of worshipping other Gods..they became slaves.
The Israelite men were allowed to take a slave woman as a wife, after following the ritual mentioned in the above scripture. (Shaving her head, clipping her nails, etc..) I imagine this ritual was done for the purpose of punishment, as well as for determining the man's overall commitment to making the woman his wife....but that is just my interpretation..so don't take it as fact.
It was then stated by Moses that if the women would not "please" the man..(meaning give herself to him "freely" in sexual intercourse after becoming his wife). Then he would have to "freely" let her go, meaning he could not sell her or treat her as a slave. At no time does the scripture mention that the men should force the women to have sexual intercourse.
Your opinion isn't your own..it was given to you by the authority that you submit yourself to...
You might hate what I say..but its the Truth. Choose to use it how you wish. But remember that at some point, all of us will be judged on whether or not we did/did not accept it.

All humans are to an extent evil, the question you should be asking is "are some people born good" and in that case no, but through strong will and dedication somone may become selfless and good atleast by our standards.
OK, frankly, I'm getting sick of the whole quote-retort-quote-retort battle, and obviously it's futile for both sides. I will ask one thing though—why are you so insistant that I only believe what authorities tell me? And why do you act as if you DON'T?
Both of us make choices. The choices we make are based on the authorities we submit ourselves to. You submit yourself to an authority which does not believe in the deity of Christ, I submit myself to one that does. Either way, both of our opinions are given to us by the authorities we submit ourselves to.

So in other words, your God is a hypocrite, but that's okay, because he's god.
^^ This is the funamental flaw in the mentality of so many religious people. If man does something, it's wrong, evil and a hellworthy offense (I.E. Kill people), but oh wait, if God does it, it's okay, he did it out of love and affection for those he killed. Yeah, Hitler kills a bunch of jews, he's called evil (and rightfully so), but God kills a bunch of kids because their parents screwed up, and he did it out of love. Hypocracy at it's best/worst.
But, of course, believe what you will, but surely if you step back and look at it from a different point of view, you can understand why so many people reject such thinking.
