We All Fall In Love Sometimes/ Curtains

by Elton John

Wise men say
It looks like rain today
It crackled on the speakers
And trickled down the sleepy subway trains
For heavy eyes could hardly hold us
Aching legs that often told us
It's all worth it
We all fall in love sometimes

The full moon's bright
And starlight filled the evening
We wrote it and I played it
Something happened it's so strange this feeling
Naive notions that were childish
Simple tunes that tried to hide it
But when it comes
We all fall in love sometimes

Did we, didn't we, should we couldn't we
I'm not sure `cause sometimes we're so blind
Struggling through the day
When even your best friend says
Don't you find
We all fall in love sometimes

And only passing time
Could kill the boredom we acquired
Running with the losers for a while
But our Empty Sky was filled with laughter
Just before the flood
Painting worried faces with a smile
***********************
I used to know this old scarecrow
He was my song, my joy and sorrow
Cast alone between the furrows
Of a field no longer sown by anyone

I held a dandelion
That said the time had come
To leave upon the wind
Not to return
When summer burned the earth again

Cultivate the freshest flower
This garden ever grew
Beneath these branches
I once wrote such childish words for you

But that's okay
There's treasure children always seek to find
And just like us
You must have had
A once upon a time

Dear, that's not Elton John. I forget his name, but it's not Elton.

Most depressing songs

I don't know why everybody left out the smashing pumpkins, they are one of my top three most depressing bands. The other two are radiohead and bright eyes.

Smashing pumpkins- "crestfallen", "blank page", "soot & stars"
Radiohead- "I Will" (Yorke chose this song as the most depressing song he's ever written), "bullet proof I wish I was", "exit music for a film"
Bright Eyes- "lover I don't have to love", "You Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will", "an attempt to tip the scales"

one other by the smashing pumpkins is "spaceboy", about his younger step-brother - Jesse - who had mild cerebral palsy, Tourette's syndrome, heart problems and a chromosomal disorder.

hypocrisy - slippin away

Feel every things circumstantial
Realise the nonsense of existing
Start to put to an end to this lost life
There ain't no change for the better

So I'll choose it from death
Memories been bless this one day
Take the tears and the pain
My soul I sold to prolong.

Don't tell me / I'm dying

Tired of / Bury the pain
As I bury this knife in my body
Slowly Slipping Away
To another dimension of virtue

My soul now slipping away in vain
A man greets me from the other side
"Welcome To Hell"
"Me? My name's Death"
So please forgive this heart
And these dreams that we've felt

Don't tell me

Bury the pain
As I bury this knife in my body
Slowly Slipping Away
To another dimension of virtue

*the singing is so depressing and the music makes me wanna commit suicide*
