Yeah, so basically for his whole political life, he's been shifting his postion on major issues...would you want this sort of a guy to be President...well, obviously you do...Yes, people change their minds, but this guy always changes his mind...

As I said prior, every politician changes their minds at some point or another. Bush has done it pletny of times, as has Kerry. To use the whole "flip flop" nonsense as the soul negative against Kerry is pointless and redundant, not to mention hypocritical because EVERY president "Flip flops".

Here's a list of Bush "flip flops".

http://www.americanprogressaction.o...7H&b=118263

As you can see, Kerry is definately not alone. It's just the Bush campaign has nothing else valid to say against him, so they try to force their "flip flop" mantra down every idiots throat who will buy it. (Seeing how many people use it as the soul attack on Kerry, I guess there are more morons in this country then I thoguht) All the while completely ignoring the fact that Bush has done it just as much.

Bottom line, "flip Flip" is not a valid or sound argument against Kerry in particular.

My belief, is that there are those that truly don't like Bush, and those that "don't like him" because its popular...he's a popular person to hate and bash...PVS himself said that he would vote for Kerry because he solely didn't like Bush...I think that's funny...

To finish that statement, there are also plenty of people voting for Bush because they don't like Kerry. The door swings both ways.

I agree with you, it's a bad reason to vote for someone, that's why I am not voting at all, I don't like the idea of voting for someone I don't like, just because I dislike someone else more.

Okay, everyone flip-flops...so when your looking at Kerry and wondering how he will be as President...well, since he isn't President yet, and he's always changing his mind on major issues-like going to war or not going to war (Bush has always stood firm on major issues, whether it was doing something or not...I'm sure he changed his mind on things...like you said everyone does...) so you don't know where Kerry stands...So, I'm afraid besides being a good debater and speech writer, and seeing as though I don't fully know where he stands, what's there to like about him?

That he doesn't like Bush, and thinks he can do a better job in Iraq. I doubt it.

He's intelegent, well spoken, and worthy of respect and not a "war president".

that was my mentallity in 2000.
i feel the need to vote. not that i look down on those who dont.
so i followed my ideals and voted green.
now, i live in jersey (dem) so it ultimately did not matter.
but had i lived in florida i would have helped put bush in office.

I like it..."not a war President"...we've had many "war" presidents...whereas war is not fun...sometimes it is important...if we had never had war, we would never be here...You call Bush a "war President" well guess what, if Kerry is President he will be a "war President" too because he's not pulling troops out. He says he has a better plan, I want to actually hear it...

PVS, why would you have voted Bush if you lived in Florida?

It is true that both sides vote for someone they don't really like to get the other one out that they truly hate...I think either way, its lame. Just don't vote if you don't like them, or vote green party if you agree with it. But if you don't vote, I understand too.

ok, i will explain one more time.

i vote in every presidential election.
my view is that it's my civic duty, so i do it.

so the scenario is: its 2000 and i WILL vote for a candidate.
my choices:

-gore
-dubya
-nader

well, i KNOW im not voting for bush so....strike him from the list.
my choices then are:

-gore
-nader

i could give gore the vote, but i could follow my ideals.
i chose nader in 2000...so

1 less vote for gore.....get it?

and it bit the republicans in the a$$ in 92, when perot ran didnt it?

republicans fought tooth and nail to keep him off the ballot and failed.

perot leaned to the right, so he took votes away from bush.

perot aided in clinton's victory.

Holy shit, Kerry is staying in Iraq because he has too. It's too late to pull out without causing a huge uproar and problem. Kerry is NOT a war president, because had Kerry (or anyone with any sort of intelegence) been in office, we would not have blindly rushed into Iraq while ignoring the real threat of Osama Bin Laden. Bush was just anxious for revenge and wanted to attack the first country that came to his mind that was "bad". Of course, this was Iraq.

It's not surprising when you remember who is dad. I believe Bush WANTED to go into Iraq before he even came into office, I believe he held a grudge because of his father. Why else would he invade Iraq? The excuse of "I got a report from britain saying they have them, so instead of investigating further, I am sending on a full scale attack, despite the fact that the UN WEAPON INSPECTORS keep telling me they have nothing" is bullshit. It's just that, an excuse.

I bet when he heard about the twin towers going down, the first thing in his mind was "Okay, how can I relate this too Iraq in order to invade them." Of course, this is just speculation, but I find it very convinient that he waited untill our country was attacked to go to war with Iraq, and that it was after the attack on America that all this information about Iraq having "WMD's" surfaced.

To summerize, Bush took the first opportunity that arose to invade a country, based on the intelgence of another country, he didn't take the time to use our own intelegence to investigate whether or not Iraq did actually have WMD's, like he should have, considering that the intelgence that said there was a 100% chance of Iraq having WMD's was hugely wrong.

Kerry, I think, would have taken the extra time to look at this, and investigate to see whether or not there actually WAS WMD's there, and base his conclusion on something OTHER then what another country says.
