any condition - in this cause, being gay - is either a result of surroundings.... the environment you are brought up in - or genetic - your genes>chromosomes>dna which define characteristics.
based on the fact that some animals are gay, i would have to say that it could be genetic HOWEVER, that does not mean environmental issues do not affect this. for example, there must be some IDENTICAL TWINS with IDENTICAL GENES where one of them is gay. Being gay is something you chose, really. you may be male with lots of female hormones, causing gay attractions, but you still act straight due to your surroundings, meaning its not REALLY genetic
I'm not picking on you , but thats not exactly true either - most animals feel pleasure during sex - it's the driving force. Humans, dolphins and some monkeys are the only animals (that we are aware of) that engage in sex outside the point in a females cycle where she can become pregnant.
Some people will believe what they believe no matter what evidence are given. Its easy to believe what you want to hear, and very easy to question what you dont want to.
Why would people choose to lead a lifestyle where they are being discriminated against...

not everybody acts straight though, gay and proud, thats how my brother goes... and his friend is just 'will and grace' as much as one would support this or detest it, you cannot do a thing, not politically not lawfully (apart from some countries ) and not scientifically, so jus let them be straight, gay or bisexual.
i just dont see how people can think its a choice. homosexuals get mocked, beat up even been cases where they have been murdered because other people think its wrong or something Satan is making them do. Why would they choose that? its obviously not a choice who would choice to be put through stuff like that? Another thing people are saying its a sin to be gay....well mocking people who are different isnt? and beating them up and killing isnt? who sounds like the bad people now? like i know not everyone who is a homophobe will go kill gays, but its still wrong and a sin to judge people by who they are.
