I mean:
As team 2 and team 1 all reach the same room, marching footsteps come from above, the seem to be coming closer. More footsteps can be heard from the other side of the door. Time to move, and quickly!

Sice we'd be flanked here... I suggest the following, highly tactical approach : RUN !!  down the stairs to be more precise
Since Steve and Kael are dressed they will act like they're coming up the stairs and going on up... I hope this works.... if not, me and Marxus will be on the floor below.
