As Nrsera landed and he dismounted, everyone came running up, their faces masks of near-reverance, even McGonagall. Harry was even more uncomfortable with the fact that people he had known well was treating him like a hero. Only Dumbledore was beaming at Harry as if he had simply won no more than a Quidditch game.
Yet he could hardly blame them himself. Of course they would stare at him so. He was riding an intelligent dragon that could speak, obeyed his every command, and had a legendary armor set on to boot.
"Who're you talking to?" Ron said, bewildered.
"Oh." Harry realised that they could not hear her voice. "Nrsera."
Ron was still clueless as to who Nrsera was. Finally Hermione lost her patience, elbowed him in the ribs, and whispered in his ear.
Ron lost what little colour he had in his face and immediately sank to his knees. Harry grinned behind his mask, thanking the fact that his face was still hidden.
He sensed Nrsera's slight amusement. "There is no need to kneel before me, mortal one. Please, rise."
Ron picked himself off, looking awestruck that the dragon was intelligent, and even could speak. Even Dumbledore was slightly suprised of the green dragon's verbal ability.
There was a silence. Harry would have deemed it as the 'silence before the storm', but the storm seemed to be over.
At least for now.
No once spoke, and Harry finally said quietly, "I guess we should go back to Hogwarts."
"With all haste." McGonagall said. "Who knows if reinforcements have arrived for our opponents yet. I do not feel like taking a chance."
Everyone made noises of agreement.
"How will she get back, though?" Harry asked, referring to Nrsera. However, the dragon had an answer ready immediately.
"I have my own method of transportation, not to worry. I'll get there fast."
"I'm not sure if you can fly from Egypt to Scotland that fast." Harry said, not a bit skeptical.
However, no one else dared to contradict her, thinking she was no more than a beast. However, Harry was starting to get used to her more as a kindred spirit, a friend.
"Who said anything about flying?" The dragon replied.

WWWOOOO!!!!! hehehehe damm it's been a while!!! i missed readin your story D i love it, your doing fabulously on it!!! i loved the little LOTR touch 'silence before the storm' hehehehe. holy cow i've been so freakin busy, then i got into trouble a few weeks ago and my life got totaly freaked out, and i think theres still more freaking to be done, but i'm glade i found time to read up on the story it's wonderful!!! hope ya didn't miss me too much!! your probably like 'o ya i forgot about her.' hehehe i hope not!!

Before Harry could respond, the dragon turned to the rest of the group to address them.
"Make haste to whatever way of transportation you used to arrive here. I will ensure both my and his survival."
Harry noticed that everyone seemed to stand a little straighter. Maybe it was the sight of him with a dragon mount, or maybe it was simply the majesty of Nrsera. After all, who dared argue with a dragon?
As they dashed off at the dragon's request, Harry commented.
"I have a name, you know."
"And what shall I call you by from now on, then?"
Harry shrugged. "Harry."
"Very well....Harry."
She turned to face an open area.
"What're you doing?" Harry asked cautiously.
In answer, she blew a blast of flame that immediately formed a fiery sphere that seemed to disgorge and intake at the same time.
"We're jumping through that?"
Nrsera snorted slightly. "Unless you have a better alternative?"
"Not going through that thing." Harry said fervently.
Ignoring him, she took a running dive into the inferno portal.
Sounds and roaring assailed Harry, and he cried out. It felt like he was being battered and assaulted by every sight, every sound that had ever occured. He willed his mind to stabilize before it drove him insane.
Just when his resistance had all but melted away, they re-emerged into sanity again. Harry saw that they were on the edge of the Forbidden Forest in mid evening, a sight that even in the moment Harry was grateful for.

How did we fare? Harry wondered, agitated and in a definite hurry to find out.
As if reading his thoughts, the dragon replied. "Even with my sensitive ears, I cannot hear any sounds of combat, nor see anything suggesting duelling. No battle is occuring, then. It must have ended."
"But for better or for worse?" Harry gritted his teeth, not sure if he wanted to find out.
The dragon took to the air again. "We shall find out."
Nrsera circled twice, gaining altitude, and finally swept out over a wide arc covering the whole of the Hogwarts grounds. They veered over the abandoned Quidditch pitch and stands, near the Hogsmeade path, and finally landed in the front yard leading up to the castle itself. The wall was still up, but Harry could see that it was breached. He took extreme comfort in the fact that many trolls and giants were dead, their lifeless corpses strewn about haphazardly.
"We'll have to clean up the dead." Harry muttered, more to himself than anyone else.
For answer, Nrsera took a deep breath and emitted three withering blasts of flame that utterly vaporized all the bodies it came into contact with. Within the space of less than ten seconds, the battlefield remnants had been wiped clean and sterilized in one swoop.
"Impressive." Harry chuckled.
"Why, thank you." the dragon replied wryly.
They flew off again, and rose to circle the main castle itself, scanning the battlements. The green dragon dropped so suddenly, that Harry felt his heart fly up into his mouth. Before he could ask what was the issue, Harry spotted a tall figure, still tressed in somewhat battered armour striding towards them cautiously, wand upraised not at Harry's gladiator-esque figure, but Nrsera. Just in case.
Nrsera obviously meant to keep the peace, and immediately said, "I am no mere beast, mortal. Know that I will not cause you any harm, so long as you remain on the side of good, not evil."
The figure dropped his aim and stood in obvious chagrin and shock at a wise, talking dragon. Nrsera kneeled and dipped her head to allow her rider to descend to the battlements.
"How did we do?" Harry asked, immensely relieved that he was talking to one of Hogwart's force, alive and well.
"We won." It was Snape, and his voice was slightly bitter. "However...there were serious casualties."
Harry's heart sunk. "Who?"

Whoa, nice cliffhanger. I have been able to read very much of your story lately but i am very grateful of the new posts that i was able to read and i have to admit that you do seem to be getting better the farther you progress into the story.Keep it up
