No way! Worst character in the game was Carth. He whines about his wife and has a punk sith as a son. Then when Revan turns evil he runs like a sissy!
Anyways, I got it yesterday and impressions are basically the same. Not much has been change just a few additions. You can use Battle Meditation is not restricted to dark side or light side. I've played about an hour and finish the first mission with T3 M4. Currently I'm exploring the mining facility with the help of the old hag Jedi.
I heard rumors that Carth will be back *boo, hiss*, since his homeworld is in the game, that comes as no surprise. All the other characters are new I believe. I guess we'll find out tomorrow!!!!!!!!

Here are some spoilers:
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: After T3 M4 revives my character with the med pac and fixing the damage Ebon Hawk. The ship turns to a local mining facility where the character is awaken from a kolto tank. There is a mystery as to why the character did not die with the rest of the crew. I've open the doors of the medical area and found the old hag jedi.
It seems she knows quite a lot about the past of the main character.
As for the connection between KOTOR I and II here are some rather strange conversations with other charactes:
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: After fighting the droids I head to the prisoners cell and start a conversation with the guy. Durig the conversation he mentions Darth Revan and Malaks battle. But the strangest thing of all is that the prisoner says that Darth Revan is FEMALE!!! What's going on here? I told him the Darth Revan was a guy. Then he gets confused....and so am I!!!

That's what the guy said. But then again....[SPOILER - highlight to read]: the main character corrected him by saying that Darth Revan was a male? That's the mystery so far. Can't wait till I put more hours of game time. Stay tuned....
The game doesn't say that Revan was a man, it's just one of the questions that helps the game understand how you played KOTOR, so if you answered," I thought Revan was a man", the game assumes that you played as a man in KOTOR.
I forgot which line you say to the HK unit, but keep talking with him and eventually he'll repeat the last words of the mechanic in his exact voice and that will get you the words you need.
There should be an option of [record] infront of what you need...There is one in the console on the level of the HK unit, one in the HK unit, and one in the level below in the room with 3 or 4 dead miners.
If the record option isn't there, just listen to every broadcast from every terminal...You'll get it eventually.

But I did correct the prisoner by telling him that Revan was a guy. And pretty much I'd figured that by saying that the game determines whether you were played as a guy or a girl in first KOTOR.
Here is a spoiler about a cameo:
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: Carth is back (YUCK) and he is now an admiral. It seems that the Republic did knew about the Jedi exile. And from the looks of things that annoying HK droid was giving the order to look after Jedi. What I don't quite grasp yet is that before I blasted the HK droid he mentios about a client wanting the Jedi captured. Don't know what it means but the mystery continues. Stay tuned....
