anakin learns of a technique, granted he might not know the specifics.

kenobi gloats to vader "if you strike me down now..."

vader witnesses ben VANISH and wonders what happened.

SO, why did vader not say ...Hmmmm maybe....just MAYBE that was what they were talking about...perhaps i should reflect on this

I don't see any contradiction that can't be reasoned out- if this ends up being true. Misunderstandings happen... Yesterday, PVS, you thought Vader was just an empty shell in the OT.....

Well, he probably was on his way to do just that when he got a call from Palps.

you pointed it out, i realised, and was very much relieved.
i was under the belief that anakin USED the technique before becoming vader...the thought of which nearly drove me mad

Believe me, I would've hated that, too.
