Have you stopped to consider that maybe these phi proportionalities were most efficient for who knows... hunting, eating, mating, whatever? The fact that they all correspond in life is simple - take the body temperatures for example. All mammals evolved from the same point, thus, their body temperatures will resemble each other. And as for this body temperature being close to phi, remember it is close, not exact. Also, this is based on temperature based on the freezing and boiling points of water, one of millions of possible bases for a temperature gauge.

What boggles the mind of one makes sense to another and visa versa.
You can't possibly understand why someone wouldn't believe in God. They didn't choose not to, just aren't convinced there is one. An athiest can possibly understand why an intelligent person can believe in God just because that's what people thousands of years ago believed and wrote books about it. The idea the the bible is true becaue the bible says it's true truely has no truth to it.
Some people have a need to feel they know where they came from and what it's all about.
Some people are just honest with themselves and admit that they really don't know all the why's and what's, and there is know way of knowing.

Nobody really knows anything, they just think they know.
Everything you think you know.......you THINK you know.

To believe or not to believe....

Why am i an atheist ?

Because god ****ed up the world. Theirs greed , poverty , wars etc etc etc. All over a petty thing about whether he exists or not.

If god was a truly loving being he'd get his ass off the throne and prove that he exists, shut all the others up and end all the evil in the world.

But let's get back to me , he hasn't done a damn thing for me. That may sound selfish but it's true .

Has he smote my enemies , no . Has he helped me, no.

Some could say that what I'm saying is insane , well fortunately your god guarantee's my madness , but i ask just who guarantee's the sanity of your god ?

No one has free will according to the Bible:

quote:
Acts 13:48

When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

quote:
Romans 8:29-30

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

quote:
Romans 9:11-22

For though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that God's purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls, it was said to her, "THE OLDER WILL SERVE THE YOUNGER."

Just as it is written, "JACOB I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED."

What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be!

For He says to Moses, "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION."

So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE I RAISED YOU UP, TO DEMONSTRATE MY POWER IN YOU, AND THAT MY NAME MIGHT BE PROCLAIMED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE EARTH."

So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires.

You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?"

On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?

Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use?

What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction?

quote:
Ephesians 1:4-5

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him In love, He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will…

quote:
2 Thessalonians 2:11-12

For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

quote:
2 Timothy 1:9

Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity…

quote:
Jude 1:4

For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Yeah, the lack of free will and predestination go well.......You have no choice in the matter no matter what you do, if god hasn't chosen you, then your out!...Though with the sprinkling/baptising of infants the church would have you believe they are brought into gods covenant......Kind of a loop hole.

im an atheist because this sh*t makes no sense....."god" creates the entire universe of which there are obviously other planets with life....and he sends his only son to this one? to get killed for your sins? so his teachings wont be remembered and cast out by selifish bishops? these bishops themselves were heretics then for casting out the beliefs of gods child.......the world is ****ed and i can accept that....i dont need anyone to "have my back" when the sh*t comes down to the wire....

Atheism is just as presumptuous as being completely religious- both presuppose the existance and/or nature of God without having a shred of proof either way.

Socrates was wise in knowing that he knew nothing. I wish everyone would take his example to heart.
