I feel that on these boards one should be compelled to express their opinions and beliefs. As I mentioned before we lack faith in the Bible but not in science which is why I juxtaposed both avenues. I am expressing my belief by saying I have faith in the Bible's devine formulation. And, I see that you concur that in the realm of science a certain air of blind faith is required.

yes blind faith is required in the realm of science, other wise it would not have grown as much as it has you see. If scientist didnt take a blind leap over the edge sometimes, we wouldnt be as advanced as we are today.

Some scientific concepts have proof and you just dug your own grave by agreeing that science is based on blind faith. Blind faith is by definition faith in an unsubstantiated thing or concept. So make up your mind. Also, your response does not sufficiently answer my question.

When I said 'blind faith' i meant plunging into a problem not knowing whether your right or wrong or not.that same idea cannot be applied to the bible becasue of the nature of religion.God is not something you can prove. You cant leave and come back with some sort of physial evidence that he exists.So in the end its only what you believe.

Of course, express your opinions and beliefs. And feel free to question the beliefs of others. But you must also be prepared to examine the inconsistencies in your own beliefs if you want to gain anything out of these boards. Let's not beat around the bush, the bible is full of inconsistencies and contradictions if taken literally. It hardly makes sense to disprove science in general out of a lack of proof yet believe in the numerous 'miracles' in the bible simply because it is written. I never said I believed that blind faith was required in the realm of science. Although in some cases it is. Scientists must sometimes assume certain things out of a lack of better methods to prove it. But the more advanced science becomes, the less 'blind faith' is required.
Why can't we apply that idea of blind faith to the bible? Well, you can hardly compare the two. Science is the search for answers in the present. The bible is more about ignoring the questions by putting a 'God did it' stamp over anything we don't currently understand.

Alright. So if evolution is just 'blind faith' explain all of the fossils and reamins that paleontologist found, and are still finding, that show different species of animals slowly changing over thousands of years? Even human skeletons have been found.
