I don't even care anymore. The amount of arguing on this board and the cover ups for all 3, X-Men, Batman and Spider-Man....its just making me have less interest in this stuff now. I used to check superherohype every day, now I'm lucky if I check it once a week to see what news they aren't posting.
I am not sure about you others... but I have seen the comic spiderman on tv when Venom was "born". I wonder if it will be the same as in the movie, but i kinda dout it.

First there were some special stones on the moon, which a couple of astronauts took back to earth. When the pod was heading back to earth and during it was in the atmospehere the stones turned into a liquid form and got berserk towards the asronauts which resulted in a crash. Spidey was there and rescued the astronauts and come contact with this black liquid stuff which soon merged with his spidey suit.... there is a gap of memory loss on how the liquid became his new suit from after when he discovered the liquid from the pod.
But anyways. He got a brand new black & powerful suit and he loved it. He became stronger and faster and he didn´t even have to manually change his clothes. The liquid was somewhat alive and whenever Peter Park wanted he could change into his new spidey suit when he was still wearing his weekday clothing just like that.
Spidey noticed that this new suit made him more aggressive and evil, evil which he strongly wouldn´t want to become
Before he had a fight with the small Villain, Rhino, whom i think was actually Harry. This Rhino got Spidey pissed and with his new suit he could easily overtake him and almost even killed Rhino, which made him very surprised and it was at this point he really wanted to get rid of this suit. He couldn´t get rid of the suit no matter how much he tried.
The fight with Rhino was on a clock tower, and when after Spidey let Rhino fall he thought he actually killed him. The big clock began to strike and with this big noise the suit began to behave oddly, as if its weekness was loud noise. The black liquid washed fastly away from Peter Park and slowly off from the clock tower.... dripping down on where Rhino fell.
The black liquid then consumed Rhino and then became Spidey´s new nightmarish villain, The Venom, Whom i still believe was Harry.

Well that was the story as i remembered it to be when I saw it.
I would like this idea in the 3rd movie at least that Peter Parker had this new suit first before it got consumed by another Evil person.

I think if they did Venom in a movie, that they shouldn't go the way of the TV show. Even when I was young I still liked the original way he got the suit better.
I think the villains should be Sandman, and a goblin. Im not saying i want a Goblin, but they have been working up Harry the past 2 movies now, They have to be doing something with him. Wether he's a bad guy, or someone who helps Spiderman.

I agree that the cartoon show venom origin is a lot less confusing than the original ( secret wars) origin. Theres no way they are going to do that in the movie. With that said, i doubt venom will actually be a villain in this one. My guess is that harry will be the villain (GG2) but because that would be too boring having had GG in Spidey 1, sandman was added for something new and exciting. Thoughout the movie we will be introduced to brock and possibly the symbiote ( cartoon origin? JJJ the astronaut comign back from space wit a weird space rock). Maybe the symbiote will help spidey defeat the villains. Then, toward the end of the movie spidey will lose the symbiote and it will find brock- similar to harry finding out about the green goblin at the end of # 2... i guess well see in a year and a half
ok, since the rumours started with a Sandman, ppl NOW would like to have Sandman...i personally thinks he sucks, Scorpion is better than him, or Mysterio relate him to some relationship problems, like paranoia, when I think of spiderman's villains, sandman is hardly a thought, does anyone agree that he isnt worthy
Sandman would probably have alot better CGI Scenes tho, and better fight scenes. Imagine them going at it, and then spidey flying with his web to the tops of buildings, and this huge sand cloud shooting up there to, with him recreating his body midway through the air attacking spidey (or trying to at least). It would kinda be like the nightcrawler on X-Men 2.

sandman is garbage. every one is sandman sandman, its not confirmed. church can be playing almost anyone. Since when do they cast based on looks? mj? tobey looks like peter?
the thing i like about venom is that he deviates from other villian origins. like " oh no ive been blasted by radiation might as well become evil and rob banks. oh look spider-man lets fight" but venom has a personal hate for spider-man and actualy gives him a reason to kill him. also his costume is a lot like spider-mans (powers and everything) so it symbolises everything peter might become if he went evil. venom is peters shadow
