Oda really cut the flashback short this chapter. Duffy past wasn't what I expected, but it did well in explaining why all this occurred.

If Zoro was fighting Duffy, this fight might be in favor, than Luffy? Anyone think so?

I think with the case of Vivi's family is that they chose not to be asshats rathers than realizing it wasn't a requirement.
