don't really know if this has an unknown author... but the anthology I have it in doesn't credit anyone...
First, they came for the Jews.... and I did not speak up, for I was not a Jew.
Then thet came for the Communists, and I did not speak up, for I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the Trades-unionists, and I did not speak up, for I was not a Trades-unionist.
Then they came for me. And their was no one left to speak up for me.

coolness kirk , i like that one lots
here is one my sister sent me today .....
Somebody said that a child is carried in its mother's womb for nine
months.
Somebody does not know that a child is carried in its mother's heart
forever.
Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after
you've had a baby.
Somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, normal is history.
Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct.
Somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.
Somebody said being a mother is boring.
Somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's
permit.
Somebody said if you're a "good" mother, your child will "turn out
good."
Somebody mistakenly thinks a child comes with directions and a
guarantee.
Somebody said "good" mothers never raise their voices.
Somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit
a golf ball through the neighbor's kitchen window.
Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother.
Somebody never helped a fourth grader with his math.
Somebody said you can't love the fifth child as much as you love the
first.
Somebody doesn't have five children.
Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing
questions in the books.
Somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose.
Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and delivery.
Somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the first day of
kindergarten.
Somebody said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one hand
tied behind her back.
Somebody never organized seven giggling Brownies to sell cookies.
Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married.
Somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to
a mother's heartstrings.
Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home.
Somebody never had grandchildren.
Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell
her.
Somebody isn't a mother.

can someone tell me what it takes to feel secure?
Ive felt lost for so long can someone find me?
can you turn back the time from blackened to pure?
can insanity truly be made as if it never was?
Are we lost in this life that has so many questions
where every hall has another corner?
Is it a endlesss game where no one is the winner?
To the loser goes the greater prize.
My twisted mind, i hold in my hands.
It becomes jagged, i drop it to the floor.
It brakes into many pieces.
I cannot find them all.
I think I lost my marbles

In this maze of life we live,
As time counts down so quietly.
We try to sort life through our mental sieve,
But often end up reacting violently.
The grains of the hourglass speed up not down,
We meet new and old folks alike,
We pray each morning for a smile, not a frown,
But sometimes life decides to say "SYCHE!!!"
This is the soul reason why we cling so close to each other.
We await the day our soul's cry is heard from one somewhere.
In this life you will find enemies many and few folks like a brother,
But getting into the fray will show your strength if you dare.
Let not fear stay the hand and sword, advance upon your foe.
Let the light shine ever so bright and the path will begin to glow.
For my bros out there. Danny-boy, Spike, Gaston the Gascogne, Jacob the hobbit, Yosemite Sam, and Eli.

the blank
the blank
every morning i wake up
with the same thing going through my head
that is a blank when i am in school
my head is a blank
while i am playing football
my head is a blank
while i am trying to study
my head is blank
while i am sleeping
my head is a blank
while i am in the middle of class
i cant get thoughts through my head
cause it is blank
while i am getting in trouble
my head is blank
while i am getting suspended
my head is a blank
when i am skipping school
my head is a blank
when i get in to fight
my head is at a blank
when i go to jail
my head is a blank
when my grandmother dies
my head is a blank
when i am about to get realy hurt
my head tells me
to hurry and get away from were i am as fast
as possible
my head is blank for thing i dont care for

The Beauty of a Woman
The beauty of a woman, isn't in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman, must be seen from in her eyes
Because that's the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman, isn't in a facial mole,
but true beauty in a woman, is reflected by her soul.
It's the caring that she cares to give, the passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman, with passing years, only grows.
I wish you bright mornings and warm, sunny days,
Soft shade to cool you from sweltering rays,
Raindrops, a few, from some cloud floating by,
Rainbows thereafter to color your sky.
Rambling rivers and great shining seas,
Mountains and forests with towering trees,
Hillsides and valleys, all flower-festooned,
Nature that nurtures whomever's attuned.
A faithful companion who'll stay by your side,
Children to care for, to love and to guide,
Enough work to do with enough time for play
Then restful sleep at the close of the day.
Friends when you need them and when they need you,
Something to spend, just as much as will do
A heart full of laughter; perhaps a few tears,
A faith you can follow through all of your years.
Then, fearlessly facing your last setting sun,
As you contemplate all the deeds you have done,
Recalling a life that's been more than worthwhile,
Perhaps you will pause and give thanks with a smile.
