Never fear, Mist is here. Ive been wanting to come online and crap on about how freakin sweet this game is but my net's been mucking up all week. Anyways, I finally got my 7900Gt last Monday, ran Oblivion on full settings....no lag. It also fixed my keyboard and mouse lag, which was a MAJOR issue for me. But now everythings running perfect....Im thinking of building an Oblivion PC case next month just for this damn game..
Im lvl 8 I think, havent played in a few days, but I bought the official strategy guide on Thursday, Im not gonna use it for quests, but it has a bunch of sweet things I wouldnt have known about, like the various wildlife you can run into as you level up and cool enchantments you can do and stuff like that. Awesome book.
I bought some spell off a mage somewhere, Enemies Explode or something like that...awesome spell, does 75dmg to everyone within radius. Did some quest where I had to kill off a couple of mercs who had nice dwarven armor and weapons, my dwarven greatsword does 15dmg I havent been doing any quests really, just been wandering around talking to NPCs and picking up random side quests here and there.....god this game is fun even when just pissing around doing nothing for 4 hours straight.
Any one into/finished the main quest? I was skimming through the book quickly so I wasnt totally spoiled, but it looks pretty sweet...and the book says theres like 50 random Oblivion gates around to shut? Fark....thats a lot of damn work...
Im also thinking of starting a new character, my current is a custom Dark Rogue, but really my play style would be better to an assassin/thief. The book gives plenty of helpful hints as to starting a new character, I was annoyed when they listed skils you dont really need (Mercantile for example) cause I chose that as one of my main skills..I was worried NPCs would give me shit deals on stuff and since Im part thief I'd have a lot of shit to sell frequently.
I hope someone makes an Eric Draven skin for the game, that'd kick so much ass.....
Why even bother joining them? Instead, convert any grand soul gems you have into black soul gems and soul trap any bandits you come across, and badabing, you now have a black soul gem filled to the max.
My Oblivion game is actually doing ok now.... I just have to watch out because if I talk to the wrong guy than the game shuts down.
Anyway, I was practicing becoming a thief but its so frikin hard. It seems that whenever no one else is around and I steal like 4 gold from a stupid chest, the gaurds will just run in to the house and arrest me.
I really don't know either.... I've been selling most of them, and I've made probably 500 gold off of them so far
And I checked out the arena yesterday... it kicks ass. I made 1000 gold off of that, and I made sure that I saved every time before placing a bet, so if I lost I could just load the game.
I didn't even start the main quest yet... I tried it when I was a level 1 and basically said screw this. I joined the fighters guild instead, with my warrior. I love the fact that you can take anything from the guild... I took all of their weapons and then sold it right away and made several hundreds of gold

I friggin love the Claymore! what an awesome weapon. It blocks perfectly and only a swing of the sword is enough to inflict damage to opponets. Also I only made 3 bets in the Arena. And all 3 bets were on yellow. I won me a cool 300!
Does anyone know where to get some good two handed weapons (preferably swords) I've been to all of the cities and the highest damage on a weapon that I've seen is 7. WTF?
