Berina was back at HQ with Jade and her medic, she'd taken a little slip and gotten too frustrated, allowing her 2IC lead the team back. She took a left then right hook at the bag infront of her, swinging a kick around and wincing a little as the bag burst under her force. She looked to the side as her 2IC entered along with the rest of the team, Ark approached her, "You may wanna go outside, a guy's waiting for you."
Berina arched an eyebrow, taking her gloves off and mopping herself with a towel as she lifted the curtain her feautres melted, if it had been a little lighter you'd swear a tear rolled down her cheek.

Malconin froze at the sight of Berina and his heart thudded so fast he thought it was going to tear out of his chest. His eyes watered, but he focused and held back the tears, not wanting to appear weak in front of her.
He'd finally found her. After surviving hell, dreaming about hell and then walking into hell thrice over, he'd found her. At that moment, nothing mattered. Not The ruined city, not the zombies, and certainly not those who stood by waiting for a reaction of any kind.
"Berina," he whispered before losing the tight reign on his emotions, he let the tears flow.

Berina let two or three tears flow freely, "You're not dead...oh god you're alive..." She said almost solemly, heaving a sigh and stepping toward him, searching over him as if to try and find out if it were a dream, reaching forward and actually touching her palm to his cheek, she gasped, almost sobbing, "Oh you're alive...Mal...oh god..." She hugged him close, feeling as if her heart would burst at any second.

"Alive and kicking," he choked out. After a long moment he held her out at arms length. "I never thought to see your beautiful face again. After the Hive...God, but I prayed you had survived, and, it seems that even in hell, god answered my prayers."

"God and the Hive have got nothing to do with this...you know as well as I do nothing could break me...not even losing you, which by the way saw me a few months in the apartment alone and literally in the dark." she straightened a little, wiping a developing tear, "I have people to protect, they look to me for guidance and strength...to tell you the truth, that's all I had left up until now."

Malconin nodded. "I understand. I can't imagine what you have been through, for I've been in some kind of sleep for god knows how long, but I understand."
He felt the pain stirring in his arm and clutched it. Berina's gaze watched the action closely.
"Something is happening to me," Malconin said. "Umbrella...they have done something to me. I get this...intense pain and my skin bubbles and crawls. I...I fear it."

Berina felt the skin, her features remained impassive until she bit her lip a little, "Same thing happened to me after I woke up...only thing I remember was the loosing you and how much pain I was in." She glanced at him, unable to look him in the eyes, "Yeah, they got to me too...but it'll get easier...and wierder, that much I can assure you."

"They injected you with a syrum, I dont know what it is and why they did it but the reactions will pass and then the side effects will kick in...about 3 years ago I found I could literally punch a hole through a plaster wall...now I've gotten so used to my new abilities that it'd be hard to live without them." She looked him in the eyes, "Mal...I hate to tell you this but you've been gone for almost six years. Racoon city is a wasteland, Umbrella tried the neucs, but they did nothing...only more of the virus spread and now my 66 team and those who are fighting with us are the only front line against it."

"Six years!" Malconin breathed in disbelief. Then his jaw tightened and his temper flared. "If we make it out of this hell, I promise you, Umbrella will pay. They will all pay with their lives!"
He took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I lose my temper like the flicking of a light switch." Malconin shook his head and glanced at his guns. "I always wondered why I can hit head shots with almost every bullet."

Drake watched the two talk and then walked outside, and sat on the front steps. He pulled a picture of his wife out of his vest pocket. If only he could just walk down the street and find his wife. If only it were that easy.... Drake held the picture and stared at his wifes eyes. They had always been able to put him at peace after a tough day. He could come home from work after a 48 hour shift, and look into her eyes and everything seemed to melt away.
Drake shook his head and put the picture away. 'Nows not the time bro, snap out of it,' he said to himself.

Paul stood smiling in disbelief, "so Berina did have a soft side after all", just the thought almost made him laugh.
It seemed like Malconin and Berina didn't even notice the three of them standing there and he wouldn't be surprised to find out that they realy didn't notice them. But there was one issue that was new to him, this syrum, strange...
'I'm happy for you two love birds, I'm gona leave you alone and catch up on some long needed sleep.'
With that Paul slipped into the tent and collapsed on a one of the lower beds and fell almost immediately asleep.

Raine and her teacher walked along a dirt road towards the HQ outside Raccoon City. Raine's teacher stumbled along every now and then. While driving they had wrecked, hurting the old man badly but leaving Raine untouched. Just as they were but only twenty feet from the building Raine's teacher gripped his chest. He fell to one knee breathing heavily. Raine immediately stopped and bent down next to him, "Are you alright?"
"Elizabeth...I'm not going to make it...its too hard," he hacked out through coughs.
Raine ran towards the building, anged on the door and yelled, "Help somebody help! I need a doctor!"
