On a side issue. Hockey is a game played on grass or artificial equivalent. Ice Hockey is played on...........wait for it.......ice. Who'd have thought? Men most certainly do ply hockey, maybe no in the weird world of America. My uncle used to play for the Scottish national hockey team. Hockey is an Olympic sport for both sexes.
Now, a sport just for girls.........may I present Netball: vaguely like basketball, score into a hoop, no backboard, no dribbling, no contact, limited time on ball. Players limited to certain areas of court, only 2 people on each team can score. Very girly, lots of prancing.

some dude earlier in the thread was suggesting hockey as a sport only for girls, to show that men aren't allowed to play some sports just like women can't play soccer. I just saying men can play hockey. But they can't play netball.

Sorry, my bad, I had never heard of men playing field hockey before. I stand corrected.
But my main point was that there are sports that women play around here and they won't let men play in the same league as them because it is women only. Yet Women have no problem saying that women are entitled to participate in male dominated sports. Just throwing a double standard out there is all.

now my apologies if this has been mentioned before, but can any guy with a bit of decency honestly tell me that he wouldnt hold back if he had to tackle a woman (assuming shes smaller) on the field? i mean i played a bit in school the odd time and i'd hit guys full on... i don't know if i could do the same to a woman...

While playing football I accidently broke one guy's collarbone and another guy's leg. They were both clean hits. I felt pretty bad, but it's part of the game. If I had done that to a girl I would have felt awful.

really if they can take all the insults from playin with guys they should be able to get hit full on...she should kno what shes gettin into...but the point in women wanting to play with guys is that they wanna be equal and not feel like men are superior to them..so they dont want you to treat them any less than you would another male
seriously though... the only time i could bring myself to go in full force is if the girl is bigger than me... im 6' 1" and weigh 85 kilos (thereabouts)... while thats not big compared to other guys, i don't think i'm gonna meet many women bigger than me... and i know i could never bring myself to tackle a woman full on thats smaller than me...
If enough girls wanted to play football, the school would probably set up a girls' league. They're not going to put a girl into a guys' league. They'd kill her. Sad but true.

And xLiNdS x 622x, in reference to women not wanting to be inferior to men, so they want to be equal in sports... Not sure I follow that idea. If women are concerned about being inferior, they need to reevaluate their priorities. Sports isn't exactly the highest ideal in the world to aspire to. Hell, if women want to be better than men they should try and be more moral and respectable, instead of being anti-traditional feminine mother/wife role. Not saying the woman's ideal is being some pwned Hausfrau, but the point is that women are really taking the goal of equality to the extreme (Read: in some cases. Not every woman, not everywhere) so far as to -go out of their way- to defeat the status quo. And that just strikes me as a vengeful action or actions rooted in insecurity, which is a personal problem, not a societal one.
if a women can play with men, then let them play. but, with no special rules or anything, the game does not change what so ever. and there is no complaning. if women can do that then sure let them.
fact is that in many sports, this will never happen.
for example, women hockey players are not even remotly close to being able to play with men. they are slower, smaller, weaker and generally less skilled.
even the best female hockey playes probably would not be able to make it into the NHL with a full contract, they just wont be good enough.
fact is that in most sports women are at a disadvantage, in golf for instance. they are incapable of hitting the ball as far as men are because men are generally stronger then women.
even thinking about a women football (american) player is just stupid, i think they would die if they got hit hard enough.
this is a HUGE problem too, most men would not be capable of going full out against a girl. it seems stupid to girls "why should we be treated any different..?" but the fact is that men just cant do it (most) me for instance, i CANT hit a girl, ever, i just cant do it. and this would lead to serious problems in a sprts game with physical contact. men's thinking is to not hit women, its in our brains (most of us anyways) and would lead to serious hezitation. so as much as girls say it shouldent be a problem, im telling you it is a HUGE problem.
so in reality, no women whould not be allowed into mens leagues.
but for argument....IF they CAN play, then let them play, it just wont ever happen.

That pretty much sums it all up. Women can NOT take physical punishment as much as a guy can. Guys are indeed built stronger and if a girl even attempted to get on the feild with 6'2 200+ pound guys then she would literally get crushed. There is never going to be any women getting into the NFL and thats a fact. Mabey somebody will start a womens football league but women will not get into the NFL. Their just not as skilled as the professional men athletes. Sorry but thats the truth
