that entire movie is truely forgettable... from van damme's ugly face and terrible acting'ability' to some characters just accidently being in it... and I wanted Blanca
The first one is a great film, shows true warrior style.....but damn the sequel was just a second rate bunch of crap.
Seriously, it was like turning mortal kombat into a cheap porno - you know what I mean, turning a film into a porno with cheap bad actors and a bad plot.
How on earth could they get rid of cage like that at the start
Discos - Bad Director. Bad!

I think the fact the Bison was like the most UNscary bad guy ever, and that Ryu and Ken were not really the main characters, the story swapped chun-li for cammy? Sagat wasn't 50 foot tall or scary? where the hell was Guiles cool hair? Why did Ryu and Ken look camp?
Man I could go on forever, im a huge street fighter fan but that movie just took the piss!
Mortal Kombat was always gonna be the better movie.
The first one had far less action than the second and it's fights lasted about 5 seconds. It was like the video game version of what's happened with the X-Men movies but much worse. Mediocre first movie, rentable. Second movie at first glance appears to be so much better. More impact, more action, same amount of plot. Then you realise it's just more of the same with worse actors.
"Street Fighter" was just......ugh. Don't even get me started man. Just don't.
street fighter was a shambles... a cinematic low unto itself... i mean, they just made van damme the main character, no matter who he played... that was a f*cking joke...
I reckon that the lu kang and the reptile fight was the longest in mortal kombat and the best. I agree the only reason Guile and Cammy were the main characters was because they were played well known actors and another thing Ryu and Ken did not hang around with each other and sell fake weapons in the streetfighter anime movie( with a nice of image of chun-li in the shower) Ryu wandered on his own looking for fights.
Fights may have not lasted long, but i didn't notice since tha rest of tha movie was so good. i loved tha first mortal kombat. from tha lighting to tha music it was a perfect 4 stars. actors were great too...it seemed so fitting and not corny at all. tha rayden and johny cage in anhilation didn't fit nice.
Man just thinking about how MK was makes me wana rent it again. it was tha reason i started practicing martial arts.
What was disappointing was that they didn't even switch actors for the "transformation" in the film, they kept the same sorry looking guy and splashed green paint all over him. I mean how expensive would it really be to hire some random bodybuilder to do it? It was all a really cheap, disappointing, sad, and pathetic looking version of Lou Ferrigno when he did the "Incredible Hulk" live action TV series.
As for the length of the fight sequences in the first MK, the duration wasn't very long, but you have to remember that they were dealing with about a 25 million budget. If Hollywood has learned anything from the sequel then they will present us with at least a decent 3rd film with all the lengthy fights we can handle.
