I wasn't trying to mock you.Your previous post sounds like a theory I herd of.Pretty much it states that their might not be a god,but instead the earth actualy is conscience and that's why life can be sustained on this planet.

It is a matter of trusting what God gave us in his written Word which was inspired by his Spirit. That is the only source of information of God we have that is true. All we want to know about God is in his Word but this is also not comprehensible for the mind but only the spirit. It is through reading God's word that out Spirit can learn about God and that we can understand about God.

Amen to that.

I thought I'd provide input to this topic. First of all, we should all understand that if there is a God, then he has the power to be unseen through our own biological senses. Now, you ask, why would he do this?

The answer is simple: If he can be seen by the human eye, his existance would be undeniable. If he can't be seen, then we must believe by faith and keep our trust in the unseen God. That is true faith. However, if his existance was obvious, we would just believe he exists "no duh", and then we would be like robots.

Also God wants our faith to be our own and not just because everyone else is doing it.

God doesn't need to be seen, God can be felt...

I would rather have the feeling then the vision...though both would be nice. yes wink

O_o Read it again its difficult for me to put in words.

Or how about this. Pretend you are God for a moment. How would you want things to be? Would you force everyone to worship you whether they wanted to or not? Or would you give people freewill and so they might worship and believe with all their hearts anyway.

Yes, the feeling of God's presence is an unforgettable experience.

I would want things to be perfect, If I was god and knew I was the only god around I would have made it clear to man about that I was the only one, there wouldnt have been no reason to doubt me. There would be no sin and no one would ever suffer. Unlike the biblical god I would be a good god for the human race

oh really??? if that was so I must say that it was too bad this unforgettable experience really sucked then

I think if I were God people would have free will. But they would be under no obligation to worship me, and if they were to do so I would want it to be for a reason, because I had earned their faith, rather then spooking them with the whole "your free to believe what you want, but, ah, if its not me well you have a long time in hell as your reward". And I would stop all this so called faith testing business. Justice would be far higher on my mind. And I would also make some new animals. Giant spiders, flying pigs and wookies. Lots of wookies. Even though they aren't animals.

In fact I agree largely with Finti. The Christian God is all powerful. If I was all powerful, and all Good, then things would be good, and by rights it should be in my power to do so. None of this hypocrisy, if I was God, and loved humanity, then I would show it by being good to them.

Well, if I were god, I wouldn't put it in writing. Because if I decided to write again later, the world wouldn't believe me because I wasn't talking with the thee and thou words...Men would misrepresent me and twist my words..And every time I would try to appear to have someone write down my new words, I would be labeled some mythical demon instead of who I am...I would give the world free will...I would let my creations choice what experiences they want to have...The world would be their playground.

For some reason I am thinking of all those idol shows like "American Idol".

Or maybe something like the Apprentice "John, while you are truly evil, I have to say your just not a team player, so Your Fired *John bursts into flame"
