No idea, maybe because cops are better trained at spotting fake ID's, maybe just for the uniform....I dunno.

Man, there are so many law enforcement agencies here in Houston it aint even funny. HPD starts at around 65 grand, I think. But then you have Harris county sheriffs dept., Montgomery county sheriffs dept., Humble sheriffs dept., Harris county county constables, yada yada yada....
