An old favorite of mine, watch it every 3-5 years or so. Tim Roth plays a great love-to-hate villain, such a piece of shit.
I thought I remembered seeing a movie called Rob Roy back when Netflix sent you a DVD disc, but I remembered it being on a boat and having Jeff Bridges, The Dude.
You know, drug cartel stuff isn't typically my thing either, which is why I didn't think much of it when it came out. But Denis Villeneuve is just a master filmmaker and makes it compelling, and then the sequel carried that on pretty well despite not having Villeneuve anymore.
The animated one? Yeah, I like that one, too. Sort of a guilty pleasure, I guess.
God, I hadn't seen it since I was a kid, so I barely remembered it. God Bless Paul Verhoeven. Is it a little dated? Sure... but goddamn if it isn't still a blast!
No, it's not about alpha-male manosphere morons like Andrew Tate and Tim Pool, etc. It's about prehistoric humans surviving with man's best friend. Re-watch. It's a highly underrated little film. I rather like it, mainly for the setting. I'm not even a dog person and I find it very touching (I guess I am an animal person, though)

Immaculate (2024)
Pretty stellar nunsploitation film with Sydney Sweeney who fucking rocks it. Her performance is mesmerizing.

Damsel (2024)
Pretty fun to watch Millie Bobby Brown. The movie is visually impressive, but is also a little silly with a talking dragon.
Damsel like patiently said it was decent as a little silly, Millie Bobby Brown looks really good but isn't that great of an actor in my opinion. Literally every role she's in she just screams at stuff
