When my sister found out I read manga, she was like, "Isn't that anime porn?!?!"
Since I love the storyline of Chobits, the occasional boob doesn't make much of a difference to me. I mean, I could do without it, but I'm not going to stop buying the manga because of it.
i was reading naruto (no nudity) but a kid took it form and lokked saying o yes porn saw none and asked how can u read it if there no porn.
(another day) i was reading another volume of naruto a kid yelled "devons reading pron" the teacher jumped up took it form me not listern to me sent me to the office the princpel called the parents al most every figgen person showed up to see and i had to show them no nudity tell them and for the next week every one said he read porn. i hate that i don't mind nudity and one book it pointed out that if we accpeted nuditiy no one would addict to it because it was every where

uh... maybe i don't know they had that in a book and it said that people like most stuff because it is uncommen and or u r not supposed to do it . so by making it a n open thing no one will go hyper over one boob slip if i don't make cents sry.

You have to remember that we are Americans and we try to keep the minds of children "uncorrupted" while Europe allows nudity on every beach and nudity is common on Japanese television. Either they don't really care or they just want to teach the kids anatomy sooner than in high school.
sex is a hobby in japan. i dont really care. i dont about nakedness. i dont even think clothes should be required by law, or that you should get arrested for it or anything. i also agree that america was founded by uptight puritan bastards. in manga i dont mind nudity, i dont even mind tight/short/skimpy outfits. i do however think that the examples of it that we see in anime are..............................horny, for lack of better words.
Wow, this was really a good read. I must say that my first raw manga experience a while back completely threw me the hell off! Okay, so I'm on campus right, I'm just exiting Psych-1010. Directly across the street from the lecture hall is the campus bookstore/coffee house (Barnes & Noble/Java Café to be exact). Anyway, I had like two hours before my next class, so I decided to chill out there, and hang by the manga section. One manga in particular caught my eye...Tokyo Tribes. I will proceed no further with this story. All I will say is this; By the first few pages, my jaw was through the floor! Of course I didn't stop reading it, however I had never expected that sort of content in a manga.
The point I'm trying to stress is this, though the manga was a little graphic it still doesn't mean that it's bannable (hehe, new word!). It's entertainment, that's all. And the crowd that it's geared towards, obviously isn't for someone under the age of, IMO, sixteen (Tokyo Tribes specifically of course). All manga's are different, and all of it is appropriate for the right age group.
...My GOD! You should've seen some of the stuff in that manga! From the language to the graphic and sometimes rather disturbing sex scenes and references, I tell ya...I'll never look at manga the same way again.
P.S: The dialogue and atmosphere in Tokyo Tribes kind of reminds me of well...MY people and the way we talk. Is that a hip-hop inspired manga or something?

Banned for nudity? well I didn't read every post but I'm surprised to see people complaing about that where in other series people get decapitated left and right, I wouldn't like manga if it was censored, the blood, the nudity, the swearing, IT'S AWESOME!!! if your a guy you cna like the naked girls, if your lesbian you can like it, if your a gay guy you can like the gay guy parts, are you can just sit down and realize how much better the stories and art is than our comics or cartoons, Now I can see why some people don't like that but then skip the pages with it, you don't need to ban it.

All I will say is this; By the first few pages, my jaw was through the floor! Of course I didn't stop reading it, however I had never expected that sort of content in a manga.
From the language to the graphic and sometimes rather disturbing sex scenes and references, I tell ya...I'll never look at manga the same way again.
