i agree with some of you and still disagree with some of you.
yes, there is nudity in anime/manga, thats because anime/manga is from japan and it is made so otakus (otaku: person who is obsessed with japan, usualy hentai as well) will buy it!
some people will just buy hentai manga, but others dont, (like me, cant stand the stuff) but still, its all a opinion.
right now, most mature manga (and older teen manga by del ray) is wrapped in plastic.

when i was younger i was buying "teen" manga that these days would have been rated higher nowadays, i was a mature kid!
Indeed. You cant search for sailormoon images withought seeing them in nude. It's sick yes, but thats the internet for you.
In the DB manga you dont see much, and with goku it's just his butt.....or something, I dont I only read the first 5.
Some anime is heavily edited, like if you noticed the 4kids anime dont have blood or gore, other anime has blood and gore. (Not sure if this is making sense) Do you guys remember when a parent complained to cartoon network about .Hack//signs intro, and they had to start airing it late at night? Just to be clear, that did not show anything "private". Some parents do act against this kind of stuff, people are even trying to ban anime and manga because of "nude"
I think, it is the parents fault for letting the kids watch and read this. They should pay attenchin to the tv ratings then anything else.
For example:
It could have cute little fluffy hamsters
the moment their parents turn around
the hamsters pull out rocket launchers and kill everyone on the earth
*Ahem* anyways, Anime and manga do not show very much nude, it's just partial, the ones for adults have LOTS
The reason why you see so many nude Sailormoon pictures is because....Naoko Takeuchi, the creator and artist of Sailormoon, drew them that way! Yeah, there's a lot of nude fanart out there, I've drawn some myself, but that's completely different. But if you have seen the nude art from Sailormoon that is from the manga/anime, you'll see that it shows NO detail whatsoever.
As I've said before. If someone doesn't like it, they don't have to read/watch it. But they don't have to try and ruin it for everyone else because they're so damn uptight.

I mean, you see so many nudes in art. (and if you want to get technical, animation is a form of art)and people just look at that stuff and go. "eh, so what? its not like its a real person in the nude." searously,as long as you dont walk in on you little brother watching a full blown anime porno, whats the big deal?

Yeah but for some reason I find them highly entertaining! Hey2x don't get me wrong --> I'm not a pervert! I think the creators just placed them there for comical reasons... now it depends on the audience whether or not they rate the material as sexual or comical.
My cousin => who by the way is also an anime fan freaked cause he saw a girl with bulging breasts kiss a guy wearing only their respective underwears. Ahh... depends on the person really if you let yourself be disturbed by those images...

I guess it depends on who you are. I just don't get it, seems like some ppl get traumatized/shocked or whatever when they see a *drawing* of a naked girl/guy... i wonder what would happen if the saw an actual naked person. rofl I for one don't really mind the nudity in manga or anime...i would thnk that most otaku wouldnt have a problem w/ nudity either, seeing as theres ALOT of nudity that goes on in manga/anime lolol
I don't mind much about nudity in mangas or anime. I just pretend it isn't there most of the time, though sometimes it's there for a reason. Example: In Neon Genesis Evangelion, near the beginning, Rei is seen partially nude. This is to show that her outlook on life is not fully developed, and she doesn't completely understand why it's so bad to be seen without clothes. At that point, she is very much like Eve before she ate from the Tree of Knowledge (which, by the way, was the point of that).
Of course, there are plenty of times when it isn't necessary (i.e. Battle Vixens). That just means that the manga/anime is being created by a bunch of very lonely guys who want to make a manga/anime for lonely guys like them.
Also, most mangas with nudity are kept in the back of a bookstore or wrapped in plastic to keep the kids from opening them before they buy (which they can't, because they are underage for them), and anime with nudity is kept under the counter, so you have to ask for it, and, when it's on TV, is only shown late at night (i.e. NGE on Adult Swim).
most nudity in anime or mana is only there for one of 3 reasons...1. because bottom line most of the producers and writers know that sex sells and there's weird people who get off to that stuff.2. They have characters nude usually because something funny happened or is going to happen. 3. They're naked for a specific reason. Like there's a meaning to why they're naked...hmmm hard to explain.
