Actually, I believe the bible is misunderstood. I think it said that jesus was going to be betrayed and that Jesus sent Judas to turn him in because he was his best friend. Actually, if you read the bible...jesus was a trouble maker. I don't know about him being gay, but he was definately a trouble maker.

indeed, he was a revolutionary at least toward the Jewish monarchy and the Jewish religious establishment at that time , he was far more trouble to them than the Romans authorities.

gays in the church ought to be viewed like any other person knowingly comitting sin.....welcomed, admonished, helped, administered to, etc....(wow, I'm gonna get slammed for saying that)

God is supposedly all forgiving.

When you break it down, you're basically saying that a gay man or lesbian woman can't follow your religion and pay homage to your God just coz they sleep with the same sex.

God is supposedly all forgiving, but the people that created him are not. Hence, the human conditions that he is supposed to exist under...like anger or joy, or vengence. God would be above all these things if he was all knowing and all powerful.

laughing You must be joking so let me get this straight you want sinners to teach others not to sin and the word of god. Okay so lets say they did let them in what about when it comes to the part in the bible when it says a man and a man shall not lay together do they skip that part or what.

It's all relative I think. Why would one rule be over looked and not another. The vatican has been deciding what rules apply and which don't for centuries. It's a clear example of how man created god, not the other way around.

Now, I'm gonna say that I'm in the camp that is totally confused as to why a gay man would want to become a preist. I just don't understand it. But, they have every right to WANT to be. But, it's alos up to the church they want to become a preist in to decide if they can or can not.

True, but the question is should they be allowed to become priests. I don't think so because it contradicts what they would be teaching if they're honest about it.

If you are referring to Leviticus 18:22, I am certain they would treat it in the same manner as smiting one's neighbors (Leviticus 1:9), selling one's daughter into slavery (Exodus 21:7), owning slaves (Leviticus 25:40), stoning those who work on Saturday (Exodus 35:2), and executing men for trimming the hair around their temples (Leviticus 19:27).

there are several passages of scripture that forbid homosexual relations be they females or males....

BTW, people did not create God.

Again. If someone wants to be consistent about his observance of biblical restrictions and prohibitions, then he must also preach and practice abstinence from many other activities that are commonplace in our society. With a few exceptions, most people are not willing to apply the morality of the bible to their lives today.

right....many of the "accepted" things such as sex outside of marriage are also dead wrong, even if the wider society condones them

And why exactly is it wrong?

who ever said marriage is the final and correct institution between people, if a couple decide they want to live together that is just as good as a marriage, marriage is nothing more than a written contract, well here in Norway an oral contracts as valid as a written one.
If I want sex with someone I dont f*cking care what other thinks about it, if they have a problem with it to bad for them, if they think it is wrong since I aint married well then they can fook off back to the dull conservative gray life they live. I choose what is right for me, not some hypocritical moral standard set by someone who dont know what it is like to live.
