Well, I am not moved by it. And for the record if some Christians act like that, than they truly aren't Christians. But I oppose to this website completely. If I were to post a thread that read: "All non Catholics are going to Hell!" I would get so much responses to it in one hour, that any thread in a life time. *sighs* Some times the hypocrisy of people is so defiling, it's not even worth recognizing. Which is how you can get away with such stupid things. I am taught to hate the sin, love the sinner. So I hate what those people of the website did, and i hate the fact that you helped support it. But I don't hate them, nor do I hate you. Whether you care or not, is not what helps me write this response, but the fact that yo read it. And besides, I'm entitled to my own opinion.
Websites like that do not show the fruits of Jesus words, or Buddhas for that matter...Websites, bill boards, and words that are hateful..and in the same boat as hateful. Hateful+Christian is an oxymoron...And this is what has happened so many times...Has the world become a better place when such Gospels are spread? I'd say not.
Man, don't confuse "posers" with true christians. While gays as pointed out in the bible are abominations in the eyes of the lord, and will go to hell if they don't change, god loves all his children, and christians love everyone as well. We may get annoyed at times but, we try to understand, and witness to sinners. We only want to help, take it as a compliment...
Once again. I will ask this question. If christians believe that gay people are going to burn in hell, then why make life difficult for us in the here and now? Don't you think that burning in a pit of fire forEVER is punishment enough? Why do they feel the need to spread the word of god? Because somewhere in the back of your minds, you doubt. It's a rule written into the christian religions that provide a safety net for those who "believe". Once the whole world thinks tha same way you do, you can sit back with a contented look on your face like you just stuffed yourselves at thanksgiving dinner. And there is no attempt to understand those who are different. NONE. And certainly not gay people. Don't get me wrong, please...I understand that there are some christians that don't care if I'm gay. There are some christians that don't care if gay people want to get married. But why do you say nothing? When the topic comes up in church, or in your bible study group, or at sunday dinner, when you hear the leader of your church call it "an intrensic evil and an abnormal human condition" why do you say nothing? Why? Because you don't care. It doesn't effect you, so, why say anything? If George Bush is a hypocrit for getting into bed with the Saudi Royal family (when they support a strict anti christian policy) then how can the christian who doesn't care if two men love each other assume they are any less guilty when they say nothing? You see an injustice and then say nothing! You see people doing wrong, despite the fact that Jesus said nothing about gay people, and you do nothing! If christians want to believe what the old testament said, then beome jews!

You're right, Jesus did not say anything about gays. It is true that during a church service or dinner or conversation, many Christians won't say anything. Even if they don't agree with the pastor. Even in other issues as well. Many are scared of being condemned by the rest of the church. People have long memories. I feel only God can be the Judge of anothers actions. It's not for us to judge, but to treat everybody with the same respect we would want to be treated with. I for one just don't understand the gay issue. I have worked with gays who were my friends and didn't tell me. I know they have feelings just like everybody else. It's something I just don't understand being a heterosexual.
Re: Re: Re: Christians going to hell....Yeehaaa!!!!!!
Alright, I see where you're coming from and you just have it all wrong. Christians tell gays about their wrong doings because in the religion if they don't change they'll burn in hell. It's an attempt to SAVE gays from that fate. Christians are supposed to see sinners as misguided victims of sin, ofcourse you may feel offended, but that's because you're misguided. If someone says gays are evil, they're wrong. Gays are victims of evil, of sin. True christians you'll come to learn, ARE kind to EVERYONE. Even the sinners. (Jesus sat and ate with the sinners) It tells us in the bible to save sinners and lead them to god. Unfortunately, many christians are simply misguided in this attempt..
Sure, go for it. Say "Hey, gluttony is a sin, if you don't stop this, you're going to end up ruining your life, and after life." It's completely logical, I mean, I don't souly focus on gays, NO sin will make it into heaven. Now, we aren't perfect no, but atleast we can try, and show god this, and ask his forgiveness when we screw up.. The ONLY reason I'm focusing on gays here is because...well...it's on topic...
Either way...I think gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins...a catholic concept. May be a christian concept too though, I don't know EVERYTHING after all.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Christians going to hell....Yeehaaa!!!!!!
No, I don't have it all wrong. I have it perfectly right. I addressed the fact that christians feel the need to preach to gay people. But, no one asked. I didn't ask you or any other christian to be my savior. And I certainly didn't ask your god. Misguided? There are few people on this board that have been as guided as I have been. 20 years going to church and denominational school. Being confirmed and listening to priests tell me to repent. Do not think to convey to me what the bible says. If the only thing you can do to disprove my points is to tell me I'm misguided and evil, then you need to dig a little deeper. And don't tell my you see where I'm coming from and then tell me I'm evil. You don't know the meaning of the word.

And you'll also notice I said I was aware that not all christians were repugnant asses. Just the ones who feel the need to tell me your god, who apparently created me, made me evil.

Hey, relax, I didn't mean to offend you. Look, I didn't say you were evil, I said you were a victim of evil. If a person is a victim of rape, they are not a rapist correct? They aren't even bad people.
Look, telling me about how much you know of god only proves how misguided you are. It's not your fault so I understand why you may get angry. Look, everyone is born with the capacity to sin, so wether you think god made you that way he also gave you free will. The way I see it, we are all born sinners, but it's our choice if we want to stay that way.
So why do christians take it upon themselves to preach to gays and other sinners? Simple, no one else will. Because they're afraid people will react the way you have, or they just don't care. I refuse to associate myself or other christians with that type of person. Who asked us to witness for god? GOD!!! Sorry, no sarcasm intended, if our kindness offends you.
Imagine that I have an apple. If I offer half of it to you and you accept my offer, then I have just shared with you.
However, if you say to me, "No thank you, I have already eaten," and I continue to insist that you take half of the apple until you give in to my pressure, this can hardly be called "sharing".
People like you justify your behavior by calling it "sharing," "love," and "kindness," but no matter by what name you call it, it is still rude, ignorant, and selfish.
I am not a victim, I am not confused, and I do not want any of your God damned "kindness" so keep it to yourself.
Horrible example..it's more like this.
Bob(the christian) learns one day that Dave(the sinner) is poisoned. He has a cure, which just so happens to be a rare kind of apple. He offers it to Dave, who doesn't know he's poisoned. Dave says no. So Bob tells him, your poisoned. Dave laughs at this and says no again. Bob once again offers the apple and Dave gets angry, yells at Bob and runs off to enjoy other foods, insisting he's not sick. Later Dave dies of the poison.
Who seems to be in the right in this story? Dave didn't want the apple, so Bob annoyed him. But Bob just wanted to save him correct? So that would make a slightly better example...The misguided never see the error of their ways and try to defend themselves by any means possible, even if it means striking out at those who love them, as you have just done PoE.---->
This is no longer a discussion. In fact, it's clear to me that you are likely a banned member who has come back to carry on a more intelligently worded argument than you did before you got banned. I have not been "mislead by evil". I have lived my life. I have drawn my conclusions, and I have found the hypocrisy that exists in people who think like you speak. Your name alone let's me know you don't really think the same that you think. And if you really do, then your name is most appropriate.
How did you know my name was David? Is your name Bob?
