I know I read that somewhere...wonder when the movie's coming out. Excepting Harry Potter movies often come out a few weeks after in my country that in does in America or England.

In the West Indies in a very small island that's probably just a dot on the world map.

They've updated the eragonmovie.com site and there is a new trailer on apple site so I think they are really gearing up to launch it big time

Yea it's a pretty good book. I have to say I prefer Harry Potter to the Inheritance Triology though. And you'll see what happens with the Eragon/Arya thing in Eldest.

I have no idea.

I honestly think that Christopher Paolani has a great idea, but he didn't manage to write that book very well. It seems to me, at times, that Paolani wrote a first draft and published it then and there.

Sorry if you thought that was Spam - just excited about the movie I guess.

I have a question

Why aren't Arya's ears pointed?

and why is Galbatorix being played by Malcovich when the character's not in the book?

What's the deal there?

anyway, i thought it was a grand book, if not imature and abit of faugery going on, Though remind yourselves that Starwars was stolen from LOTR and LOTR was stolen from some old school book no one cares about big grin.

Arya's ears aren't pointed because they feel it will distract the audience from her "beautiful" face. no expression
They need another big actor apart from Jeremy Irons, who, might I add, does not fit the part at all.

I've just started reading the first book of the Inheritance trilogy and it does show potential. At first i was a bit wary of the book, but soon became obsessed with trying to find out what happens next. I wonder how they'll adapt this to a movie because in the beginning and middle they're just mostly wandering around, but I'll just have to wait until December 15th to find out, eh? I might go to the store on Friday and purchase "Elder" happy

I've heard it's around July 2007 - or summer at least- but yeah nothing confirmed. The sooner the better I would say.

I guess they do need another big name actor - I think that may be a bit cynical. I like to think that it was necessary for the movie cause its not a book etc. etc. dramatically and all the rest of it. Have we disscussed the poster? I like the posters

I don't know if July 2007 will be a good date for the third book to come out, ,mainly due to the fact that I've heard rumors that is when the seventh Harry Potter book comes out and I find that it would be best if there wasn't competition around erm

I'm not sure if there was a discussion on the poster, but I like it anyways also. I wish I could get the ones in the theaters I noticed in the one where Arya is by herself (you can see it in the d/l's section on the movie site), that the magic coming from her hands is blue, though in the Eragon book her magic is red. I haven't read Eldest yet, so I'm not sure if there is a different colour for each spell or whatnot confused

Honestly, the movie will probably be better than the godawful book; but one always maintains a glimmer of hope that more people will see it for the deriviative, awfully written and general rubbish piece of writing that it is.
