It's sad that he died, but as Syren said, it would kind of be hypocrital of me to pretend that I am VERY sad, I've heard he was a great man, so I really hope he is well wherever he is, the old man deserves a bit of peace, that I knowbig grin

Yep, i think him visiting a mosque really showed he was a different special pope. He visited leaders of the Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Jewish, and many other faiths. That shows he is different then most Christians who think their religion makes them better then everyone. I think he is respected because he was different type of religious man, especially in the 80d's.

well spidergrl christian is a very big word, you have catholics, anglicans, luterans, etc. and quite frankly they are all very different.
I've met thousands of Catholics (I was raised catholic myself) and most of them are very arrogant with their religion, but I've also met a lot of Catholics who are really open minded to any other religion erm

uh... no... at all... in fact u could not be more wrong

these groups are all very different

Anglicans for instance, they don't follow the pope (who is CRUCIAL to the catholics) there r some groups that believe that Mary had more children. they all believe in god, but they all interpret it very differently erm
