Where does evil come from?

Of course evil comes from morality and ethics. Morality and ethics are the fundamental philosophies of right and wrong. Good comes from this as well. When I see someone help an old lady over the street, I do not think of him as morally accurate. I think of him as good.

For that reason, good exist. If good exist, so does evil. Just because it is a "human word" and a branch of morality, doesn't mean it doesn't exist wink


Well, I may have worded it wrong, but what I should have said is good and evil are just labels. You say that someone is evil because they generally have a combination of several immoral traits. But like I said, and even you are saying, these immoralities are subjective. I can do many immoral things, but that doesn't mean I am evil. I can do many moral things, but that doesn't mean I'm good.

So, like I said, it doesn't exist. It only exists in the peoples minds because they are subjective thoughts. So, in essence, that is where evil comes from.

I guess it makes sense to think that evil doesn't exist. I mean you have animals that kill each other all the time. New male lions take over a new pride and kill the cubs, is that evil? If some man fought off another man and killed the single moms children we would call that evil. I guess the difference is that we know better, while other animals may not. I dunno

I don't think the devil created evil. He became evil, but that suggests evil was already around. I think evil is simply something that exists, and has always existed as long as free will has existed. You cannot have one without the other. It's logically impossible.
