Doubtful.
There are more then enough Stormtroopers (whom > Federation soldiers with no armor and armed basically with pistols) to fend off any invasion of a ship.
I'm not up on my Star Trek lore, but if the Borg can suddenly teleport 800 drones on board a technologically advanced (T.A.) ship, facing T.A. conventional weaponry (at least compared to Federation troops) than wouldn't they have simply overwhelmed the Enterprise and Federation as effectively as you make it seem they can the Empire?

They do...and the Empire- since it doesn't have Teleportation Technology is unlikely to have shields which could stop people transporting onto their ships...
however, its all irrelevant.
Q would just remove them from existence if he wanted...
Although...removing him from the Equation I'm not sure who would win a war...
star trek has no fighters, wath any other sci-fi and you'll see how even a cap ship does against another cap ship with fighters. star trek doesnt have more advance technology just diferent ideas on space weaponization, and last i checked scotty says "she cant take much more of this" about 2 minutes into a confrontation every episode.
as for borg not being affected by the force, they are cyBORGs not robots and even robots are affected by the force, although it's not as extensively as organics.
another good point that star wars wins is the Yuzhong Vhong, albeit the main reason they were so devasting in star wars is because everything about them was completely new and for the most part they had stuff nobody ever even daydreamed about. star wars also has extremely brilliant minds like Thrawn, Ackbar, Revan and Pelleaon, while star trek has Kirk, Spock and Picard. however star trek at one point has the x-men and star wars............damn interuniverse crossovers

he said excluding Q, which is fair considering he is omnipotent.
but i gueess your right star trek could always get a whale and have it talk to the deathstar and the other ships, that might stop star wars right there

So pretty much, in superiority: Species=Star Trek, Technology=Star Wars.

Which is unfair, why should the ST Galaxy be handicapped? Its like saying, Star Wars but no Jedi or other Force Users...silly and incomplete.
He said ALL OF, there is no point having this discussion if your not taking everything into account because its unfair...a full Star Wars Galaxy against an incomplete Star Trek one?
He isn't limiting it to Technology vs Technology or Jedi vs Ferengi blah de blah but is saying Everything in Star Wars vs a diminished Star Trek....its akin to saying all of the Jedi vs. Spock.
Even without Q though, the Douwd still has the power to decimate the entre Star Wars galaxy...also the Yuzhong Vhong are not canon are they...?
Basically the entire EU(novels, most comics and video games) is canon unless it contradicts the movies or if GL or one of his staff members declares the piece not to be canon.
I just read Ush's guide on the matter...though I do take the GL line that...outside the movies none of it exists as the same universe. I don't feel strongly about it either way.
Task in hand though,
Q could wipe out the Star Wars Universe...if he is being excluded then his son q could...or his mate Q(female) or Quinn or Colonel Q...
If all the Qs are excluded then the Douwd could do the job just nicely...there are also other species I am sure are capable of the job.
So in a Uni vs Uni battle the winners would have to be Star Trek.
I'm staying out of this because I am no St expert though I know if they could pull out a victory it would be hard since the SW EU includes over 25,000 years of beings, empires, etc. as well thousands of generations of jedi and sith and other force groups.
It would be difficult yes...if the Star Trek Universe didn't have species which could wipe everything out in an instant i.e. the Q or the Douwd... Species 8472 would probably take on the Vong...
thats why the Q was being excluded star wars doesn't have an allpowerfull being (personnally i hate all powerfull characters) so yes if Q was included it would rely on him wanting to wipe out a whole universe or star wars figuring out a way to defeat him (hard but likely since nothing in any universe lasts forever)
