I hope ROTS isn't nominated, for the Academy's sake. Oh, the dignitiy of the Oscars has already been reduced when they nominated Farhenheight 9/11.

then randy newman winning best song for monsters inc just becasue he's due. over enyas LOTR, what a load of crap.
and then Sean penn winning best actor for mystic river because he is due too,(he was good but nothing great) it should of gone to Johnny depp for pirates of the carribean.
In my opinion given most of the crap movies out there and for a change ROTS should be nominated for best picture just as ANH was
I'm still mad "Annie Hall" beat "Star Wars" for BP.
Then a stunt movie, "The Matrix," beats TPM for best effects? For effects stolen from a Gap commercial! Then LOTR II does it against AOTC. What a joke.
Don't hold anything against The Two Towers - it was close, both were deserving. But I agree about The Matrix win. The F/X sure looked funky for a while, but the series sure burned out in a hurry and ended in a muddled whimper.
Where are all the Matrix fanatics now?
