I doubt Millar's intent was to have Logan survive having his hea removed. It pretty much goes against all previous instances where Wolverine himself has stated the opposite effect would take place.
So, the x-universe is comics only? I was under the assumption that a movie, cartoon and fan base that identifies itself with a particular franchise because of the characters and story that appeals to them are an aspect of tthat franchise. As I said, 40 years is a long time and at least 15 years of those 4 decades have been totally supported by a concentrated and concerted effort to push a single character. You can't say that none of my comments were comic-related, when I pointedly and blatantly mentioned the comics. Sadly, I have been reading the X-Men comics. In fact I have an almost abusive relationship with them, which is stupid on my part in many ways. Now that Wolverine isn't the focal point of many of the comic stories, their crutch seems to be crappy writing that takes advantages of a mythology and existing fan-base. Out of 40 years of history, most of the writing has been crappy. What I do love is that in the last 2 decades the writing has gone from campy and non-sensical to serious to Wolverine-only to needlessly complicated to flat-out crap. The only saving grace these days is the cover art.
Miller intent was clear he wrote the friggin comic. There really no debating it.
When did Logan state the oposit got any evidence? The only instances I can recall is in a recent issue in which Logan states cutting of his head with a magical sword/sword which stops his healing factor.
Based on your craptastic grammar, I'll assume Wolverine is a favorite of yours because you assume you're getting the jist of it from the colourful pictures and blatant action. That you would skip an entire post with which you disagree is no suprise to me. It seems to sum up your entire perspective. Maybe the next time we disagree, I'll just draw a pretty picture of a character who can't remember his past, sleeps with a hot Asian chick and feels the need to go berserk any time he's questioned.
Again you are far to wordy. You could have said what you needed to say in two sentences.
You are not very up to date on your knowledge of wolverine. He regained his memories already. He does sleep with a lot of Asian chicks that's true. Wolverine is far from easy to cause to go berserker. Hell he has not been that way for 10 years or more.
Perhaps I thought that your fanboy status deserved more than 2 sentences.
I am up-to-date on my Wolverine knowledge. This is why I've addressed it over and over again in my many posts in this thread. Sadly, you have not addressed the validity of what I've said. This has further provided evidence of why your only real interest with the Xverse is Wolverine. Again, and for at least the third time, I've addressed that Wolverine is no longer the primary and only character in many x-titles. However, he is the primary character in the movies and cartoons and was the primary character for the majority of the 90s and early 2000s, as well as being the only character that every expansion effort feels the need to exploit. Bryan Singer has also stated that he focused the first 2 movies on the character because the studio executives insisted that he do so. I understand that Wolverine is a testosterone-soaked badass that so many of his fanboys wish they were in a wet dream, but there's more to the Xverse than him. In our conversation, you've defended him simply because I haven't overly defended him. That says a lot about your perspective on the character and why you defend him when no defense is needed. I recognize his place in the world of the X-Men, I simply resent that people lik eyou think he should be the central figure in every X-Men story. Perhaps you were the first person in line to see the Origins movie; I hope you enjoyed it. Personally, I won't be seeing it.
Why am I a fanboy? Because I disagreed with your assessment that wolverine was the focal point of x universes in terms of comics. There is no need to be aggressive or insulting.
I am not defending anything I was infact correcting incorrect statements you made. You can keep saying your up to date on your knowledge of him, but that does not mean much when you say things that imply you certainly arnt.
I don’t really care, I don’t care if he is the central figure or is not. I don’t watch the shows I don’t care about them. Again you could have easily said all that needed to be said within a few sentences, but of course you have to be as wordy as possible. More is not better.
I have not seen the Origins movie. I don’t like Fox’s take on the character it is extremely different from how he presented in the 616 world and is in fact an alternate reality.
I dont really care. You dislike wolverine, you feel he been over exposed in the media good. I dont pay attention to media out side of comics. I dont watch his show, ive seen the x-men movies I take them for what they are alternate realities. It is what it is.
also your rant about how to kill wolverine is to take him out of the media? You realize that TV/movie wolverine arnt 616 wolverine which means they have no groudns to be in this thread, or be brought up in any way/

Here's another method, have Wolverine ruin Daredevil's life and kill one of his girlfriends.

Wasn't that just a weaker Apocalypse in that crappy House of M series? Marvel tends to pretty much always make Poccy an instant throwaway character in non-canon comics as opposed to 616. *shrug* Doesn't mean/guarantee that Black Bolt's whisper would kill Wolverine though.
Not in the case of Forge's gun or if you just incinerate his corpse.
Btw: Characters like Wanda, Jamie Braddock, Franklin Richards or a more experienced Elixir could erase the x-gen from his genome => no more healing => mortal as any other human

I don't dislike Wolverine. I said as much. I'm not responsible for your assumptions of what does and does not constitute the entire X-Men universe. You're wrong, but that's your issue.
Below are 1/2 dozen links to a variety of threads in this forum that revolve around X-Men movies and cartoons. If you choose not to accept them as part of the X-Men universe, that is certainly your right. However, they are part of this comic book sub-forum and the X-Men universe as a whole. I'm even willing to bet you yourself have posted in some of them.
