Dude, please.. all i have read for 2 pages is 'i wrote a good review' 'my review is the only one thats unbiased' yada yada yada.....
THAT my friend is arrogance incase you missed what I was referring to.. there it is in black & white. I dont care about your opinion of the flick, and I honestly could care less about your uber high opinion of yourself. I call em like I see em and you my friend are ARROGANT. So go back to the movie forum where everyone treats you like God, we will all be happier for it.
These two satements came across as arrogant to me. Thats why I posted about it. If you honestly werent trying to be that way fine, my bad, but thats not the way it looks.
Sorry you see it that way, but you're totally off your rocker. You apparently know absolutely nothing about me, or how I operate. I don't have a high opinion of myself, I merely said I though my review was the most concise overall thus far. You see it any other way, so be it, but you're in the minority.
I will go back to the MDF where people factually appreciate my imput, I enjoy being comrads with virtually everyone in, and can discuss movies civilly. Thank you for reminding me why I don't venture into this part of the forums anymore.
That would have been awesome. It would have really made Obi Wan seem even stronger to get it together after being that low and go and take care of Vader.

OK I just say it this morning at 11am , and over all I enjoyed the movie , the best of the prequels. The over all feel of the movie was that alot of the "story" element of the movie was cut out and was more of a non stop action- fest. I wish he made the movie longer to fit more of the story element in thier but i wont complain to much about it considering ppl complained so much about ep 1 , 2 being boring and not having enough action so he gave them what they wanted less talk more stuff blowing up and light saber battles.
Having read the script before i saw the movie my expations of what was in my mind and what i saw where a bit diffrent not all bad.
-The count dooku duel in the begining is waay shorter that i thought it would be. I missed his line about you promised me ammnisty.
-I really like Grevious spining sabers that was kinda intimidating but i liked the voice from the cartoon better.
-Ians lines as palpatine were some ofthe best in the movie while his lines as sidous were some of the worst lol." no no no ..."
-Having read the script one of the most alarming things i noticed diffrently in seeing it was that i though Sidious was gonna be this dominating aggressive whirling blade of light ,destroying everyone and everything in his way fighting style but after seeing it he didnt dominate anything! It was suggested that sidious let mace win to get anakin to step in but after seeing it and especially his fight with yoda i no longer agree with this. Mace windu point blank kicked his ass! The funnist of which was when he kicked him in the face and his saber falls and he turns around on all fours and crawl and trys to cowar away i wanted to laugh out loud! This is suppose to be the dreaded all powerfull sith lord that all jedi should fear, Just before that mace windu got right in his face and squeezed his hand and sidous was in pain he wasnt fakin. After this and seeing his fight with yoda where he trys to run away after yoda knocks his ass half way across the room you kind of get the suttle acpects of what GL was saying about the dark side and evil in genral which makes it more understandable.
-The simple fact is the folly of the darkside is over confidence and that they are basically just bullies and like all bullies they are cowards at heart and can act tough when fighting a much weaker fighter like dooku with obi wan in ep2 but like all cowards they run when challenged by an even match or someone with more power. Like dooku running from yoda and Grevious running from obi wan , or Sidous running from yoda.
-I have come to understand why sidious wants anakin so bad as his apprentice is beacuse physically Sidous is physicaly weak in the same sense that yoda is. They are not physical power houses , they use speed and thier experiance and skill to defeat thier enamies. They true power is there knowladge of thier accpetcs of the force, Yodas great wisdom and Sidous abilty to manipulate people.Sidous is just a big coward who wants some one else to fight his battles for him , anakin being the muscle him being the brain which makes even more sense when he mentions the fact that Vader will be more powerfull than either of them. He thought he would be able to control Vader no matter how powerfull he beacme cause Vader may have physical power but mentaly he is weak compared to sidous which is prob why he never really trys to betray palpt in the OT cause vader recognises his own lack of wisdom.
- the best Saber fight hands down in the movie was the ani - obi fight those saber just become blurs of light.
- If anakin and obi wan teamed against sidous they would kick his ass
- my Favorite scene i nthe move was when sidous tried to run down the hall and Yoda jumps in front of him and saya "If so powerfull you are why then do you run away?" lmfao!
- i dont understand why Yoda ran away form sidous Yoda was more than a match for him if the fight continued i think yoda would have beaten the melted palstic face coward. Very diffrent from what i expected from sidous over all.
I am old enough to have known about Star Wars before it was a movie...
I first heard about it when I was handed a flyer at a NYC comic convention...two sided, yellow paper (I still have it)
When I was in college, I was in the bookstore when I saw the first Star Wars novel. Read it...loved it. Read it again, about five times.
The Marvel comics version was released just before the movie...loved it.
Saw Star Wars (before it was called A New Hope, Episode IV) and loved it. Even so, I missed the scene in the book when Luke met his friends at Tocci station...the conversation with Biggs ( I could only imagine what people were thinking when Luke got real emotional after Biggs is killed in the Death Star attack having no reference to him earlier). Like most people my age at that time, I probably have seen it a hundred times.
Loved Empire, still my fave. Was very disappointed with Jedi...pretty much the way most fans feel now with TPM and AOTC.
I really liked ROTS...possibly loved it. The feeling I had after I left the movie was stunned...pretty much like the feeling I had after the original SW. It wasn't like I hadn't already been spoiled enough with pictures, books, and trailers as well as forum discussions. I think I need to see it again...
The Opening Battle Sequence was very well done and I felt like I was in the cockpit of a fighter when Ani and Obi were weaving in and out of the battle traffic and around the larger ships...well done ILM...pick up your bonus checks at the door!
Points to George for the initial battle banter between Ewan and Hayden..keeping things light in the face of immense odds is what made the OT such a special series. It gives the characters more humanity and describes more about the characters relationship.
Great pacing when our heroes land on Grievous' flagship. I like the way they move from one problem to another to get the the Chancellor (like a video game?) although I did miss the falling into a fuel tank section of the initial scripts. Thanks GL for making R2 the lovable, resourceful little droid he has always been. A great performance for a metal box! Everyone at my midnight showing laughed at R2's attempts to not attract attention...
Obi and Ani battling Dooku was if not too brief, too understated. Chris Lee was not given the opportunity to project that menacing royal presence that he displayed in AOTC. Obi getting knocked out of the fight early again...D'oh. I think Ani would have gloated more after taking Dooku's hand...and Hayden should have been allowed to show more conflicting emotions when the Chancellor told him to "Do it!"
Not pleased with all of the battle droids voices...Super Battle Droids and Vulture Droids should not sound like Pokemon. I liked Grievous' animated performance and, having enjoyed the Clone Wars cartoons, understood that it was because Mace force crushed his frame that he coughed the way he did and walked hunched over. Grievous' bodyguards were also impressive effects.
I'm getting too long winded ....I'll have to try again and edit it down.
I'll just say that I enjoyed ROTS...it made my night...I'll see it again and I am not bothered by any inconsistencies of the story to the OT...

Disappointed!
Revenge of the Sith
I was so disappointed! Not since Return of the Jedi have I been so disappointed. Look I hold Star Wars very sacred...and ROTJ is sacred in parts but by judging from my screen name you might have guessed that I'm not a big ewok fan.
Anyway back to the issue at hand. I agree with most of the posts here. There was way too much lightsaber action which took away the "awe" factor when they were limited in the other installments.
Usually at the end.
Bad things about ROTS...
1. I think the mitichlorian theory and the possibility that Anakin is possibly Palp's son is just plain ubsurd. The prophecy was untrue.
2.The Qui-Gon factor was completely unexplained. No voice over. 3.Grevious hacking like a sickened person but yet strong enough to fight. The window blast scene in the Grevious chamber when Gen. Grev escapes ( no one dies or gets sucked out).
4. The wookies werent in it enough.
5. Not enough time to get really attached to anyone character it moved at an incredibly fast pace.
6. Darth Vader is in the movie on the gurney in full amor and cape?...please. And don't get me started on the "lost the will to live line" and The "Noooooooo" line.
But after all this bitching I thought the worst scene out of all the scenes and should have been cut, was that awful scene of Anakin slaying children. (Twice) ...Bad just purely a bad scene. Overall I'd say yeah...disappointed but hell its Star Wars.
I loved the yoda fight scene and the opening battle with the crash ending...other than that...I'll stick with my fave of all time Empire Strikes Back!
Um, that movie was absolute poo. I'm embarrassed to call myself a star wars fan. The acting, save a few was atrocious. The best thing, naturally was the Obi-Wan/Anakin fight and dialogue at the end. The rest was lethargic and appalling. The entire cinema laughed at Darth Vader's "noooo" scene. In fact, they were generally laughing a lot more.
This movie had so much potential. Why the hell didn't the dude who directed ep5 do the PT?!
