Its a difficult one, but this would be my recipe.
Dunno if anyones seen Ribéry playing lately, devastating
Didn´t pic C.Ronaldo because I don´t like all his faffing about with the ball,
So what do you lot think of Capello´s possible first England squad?
I think it´s looking promising he´s not following the same "easy" path as other managers.
Who probably would have picked Beckham just to give him his 100´th cap, yeh that´d be nice and its what the press wants. Even though he lacks match practice, plays in a 3rd division class team and wasn´t that good anyway.
Probably would have picked Owen because he scored a nice goal once against Argentina and is soo good, and yes the press like him as well, even though he hardly scores any goals anymore, is iinjured most the time and is no where as near as dynamic and fast as he used to be.
The squad isn´t been let known until before kick off for some reason, weird as its only a freindly.
other ínteresting friendlys are Austria V Germany, can see a hammering happening here Spain v France; Italy v Portugal; Holland v Croatia could be interesting, but only friendlys so they´ll probably be "lets not get injured, our club needs us" type of games.
It's fairly bizarre that it has actually got to the point, that the press and the public are praising a manager for what they should be doing. We haven't even seen any results yet, but still every newspaper I pick up is singing Capello's praises just for giving England more training sessions. I'm going to wait till I see how they perform against Switzerland, before I start kissing the bloke's feet.

Lets not forget this was the first game, you can´t expect miracles in that short a time frame.
The important thing is that he is trying to change things, because lets face it, England needs a lot of changing if they are going to compete with the top teams in the World.
One important thing that he could bring in is to stop England giving the ball away so often and to stop the "shutdown" after they go a goal up.
Against what teams though? I'm sure he's great and all that, but don't you think it's a little early to put him up for one of the two best strikers of the world at the moment?
