Will Owen's still be the striker for England or will Rooney and somebody else take his place?
Because Owen's is still a pretty young guy.

twathead is my preferred alias for Beckham.
1983 was a VERY good year!
Slightly saturated after marinating for the evening.
The Dons won again, 3 in a row! Screamer of a winner by all accounts. 2 points off 3rd place with Hibs laying Celtic tomorrow. rangers dropped points at Ibrox thanks to an ex-Don scoring an injury-time equaliser for Caley Thistle. Hearts dropped points on the dodgy fake pitch at Dunfermline and Dundee Utd sit joint bottom of the league. There is honestly very little more that a dandy could wish for from a day of sport.
and it's Aaahhhhhhberrrrrrrrrdeeeeeeeeeen
Ahhhhhhhhhhberdeeeeeen FC
We're by far the greatest team
the world has ever seen.

From hence forth American football shall be known as "soccer." by me.

I still think Owens should be starting striker.
Im not to educated in football, but during the Euro Cup, it seems Owens was the reason Rooney had such a good couple of times. It seemed that he set up a couple of his goals and the beauty of a goal against Portugal.

Well definitly Rooney.
Today's game between Man U and Crystal Palace, you could tell what Rooney does. The game was slow and the strikers couldnt do anything. Rooney came in and attacked, while not successful, he still added alot of energy.

Rooney is well overated. He just usn't the player he is hyped up to be. It's because he is english that he gets so much coverage. I mean look at the talent in the 17 year old spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas. His creativity is brilliant! But does he get credited for it no. Reason being, he is not English.
There are much better youngsters out there other than rooney.

rooney has power and pace...not to much skill on the ball but if defenders are frightened to take him on then he will always be a danger...he also has great finishing power...not to much finese(although his lob of the keeper a few weeks ago was good)
he also blows hot and cold at man u...unfortunately more cold than hot...
as for saying that he gets more press than other talented youngsters...true...but England always have to have someone to pin their hopes on and that way they have a scapegoat when it all comes crashing down around their ears...ala beckham in 98

fabregas is a very talented player but has no physcial presence whatsoever, except when he tries to break someone's leg... there are better young players besides him anyway...
rooney's role is very like teddy sheringham, he isn't an out and out striker, he comes deep and needs the ball at his feet, the sooner fergie realises this the better...
i would have owen and rooney, defoe afterwards... but start wright phillips on the right for chrissakes...

Well he is still young isnt he?
He needs time to develop.
Its true that he gets alot of press. But I guess him scoring 4 goals in Euro Cup, or basically scoring most goals for Man U in the present time means nothing.

I dont think so either.
He made England go far in the Euro Cup and is helping Man United win games.
Maybe if somebody to the media and pressure off Beckham, maybe he will actually be what he used to be.

Roony is definatly not overrated.
like Smasandian said he is the only player for Man Utd that is scoring at the moment like.
