PALPATINE: My mentor taught me everything abou the Force. Even the nature of the Dark Side.... Anakin, if one is to understand the great mystery, one must study all its aspects. Not just the dogmatic, narrow view of the Jedi. If you wish to become a complete and wise leader you must embrace a larger view of the Force.... Only through me can you achieve a power greater than any Jedi. Learn to know the Dark Side of the Force and you will be able to save your wife from certain death....
ANAKIN: You're the Sith Lord!
PALPATINE: Ever since I've known you you've been searching for a life greater than that of an ordinary Jedi... Are you going to kill me?
ANAKIN: I would certainly like to.
PALPATINE: I know you would. I can feel your anger. It gives you focus, makes you stronger.
PALPATINE: Remember back to your early teachings: All who gain power are afraid to lose it. Even the Jedi.
ANAKIN: The Jedi use their power for good.
PALPATINE: Good is a point of view, Anakin. The Sith and the Jedi are similar in almost every way. Including their quest for greater power.
ANAKIN: The Sith rely on their passion for their strength. They think inwards, only about themselves.
PALPATINE: And the Jedi don't?
ANAKIN: The Jedi are selfless. They only care about others.
PALPATINE: Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?
ANAKIN: No.
PALPATINE: I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side he could even stop the ones he cared about from dying.
ANAKIN: You mean he could actually save people form death?
PALPATINE: The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.
ANAKIN: What happened to him?
PALPATINE: He became so powerful. The only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunatley he taught his apprentice everything he knew then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. It's ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.
huh? i am new don't know if anyone else posted this but i think darth plagus (palp... master) is anikans creater and he was on tatoniee (where anikan lived) b/c he was going to go there after he was older and teach him the force b/c he would be angry at the slva owners and kill them for what they did/do to him. just my thoughts.

help for him. Whatever he faced, now and forever,
no one would save him from it. Peter might be
scum, but Peter had been right, always right; the
power to cause pain is the only power that
matters, the power to kill and destroy, because if
you can't kill you are always subject to those who
can, and nothing no one will ever save you.
Yeah, this thing died long ago. It was shot near the end of the movie, but was able to recover and finish out. Then shortly there after it was muredered by assclowns.
If not for Stunrun and Lord Yoda this thread would have never been completed the 1st time they saved the line by line thread. The second time was completly screwed up by several people. But thank you JP this thread was alot of fun and was one of the best threads in the E3 Forum.
