By then, Kate discovered Valora was also a Force-user. And she was also using it for either studying or cheating.
Physics teacher: This year, the opening project of physics will be the science fair preliminaries. There might be some questions into the crowd, as to how many people are there in a team, what kind of subjects you can take, how to do the written production and the oral presentation. My name is Disektor Kovalchuk. Yes, Tamara, I'm a relative of yours, I'm your grand-uncle!
Kate: The teams are made up of at most two people. As for the subjects, it must be scientific OR technical: math, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, etc.
Valora: The written production must be broken down into the following: one front page, one for the introduction, three or four for the contents themselves, one for the conclusion, one for the bibliography. Appendices can be added as necessary.
Milena: As for the subjects, it's on a first arrived, first served basis.
Disektor: All three of you must be psychics! Now, start with your team formation and choice of subjects!
The excitement has calmed down. Valora decided to team up with Kate.
Kate: That's for the subject: we will be talking about antimatter.
Valora: But why did you tap into my mind?
Kate: It's to scale the defenses of your mind. Only an intense bombing from mind clouds can breach them, you're so powerful! But you don't have any mind shielding. I know you're also a good telepath. You might have tried your hand at the leadership election of the Jedi Order!
Valora: From whom you learned that antimatter exists?
Kate: From the current leader of the Jedi Council, who lives in Quebec.

Kate: In that case, you're just plain smart. The current leader of the Jedi Council is Yvan Ung. The other Councillor in the same school as him is Diandra Grandchamps. With the Council's authorization, you might as well be my newest apprentice or Milena's. Valora, I must warn you, both of these Councillors are busy people. Busy with mostly non-Jedi like you.
There was a moment that Milton (Kate's back neighbor) paused and looked at the pair of Force-users.
Milton: Valora seemed to have a tough mind armor of her own.
Kate: Her mind armor is like a 88mm thick reinforced concrete cladding. You should try mine at times: it's like a 203mm tritanium wall.

With that Valora looked over to at Kate and Kate went flying across the room. Before she could get up everything became slow motion. "No one knows my power. I sometimes don't even know my power. This class might take forever, I'm going to talk to Yvan Ung. She closed her eyes and the whole school began to shake and the lights when out. Whe the lights came back, Valora was gone. She had teleported to see Yvan.
There she stood near Yvan and she sat down in a corner waiting for the council to start speaking. But when he opened his mouth, she was the one who spoke. "Tell me more of this little project of yours. What is it really about? I know you truely don't go around showing little agency packets. What's all of this about? What is your point in all this?" She stood up and moved closer.

Kate: Valora might be gone, but I know more about the Councillors than she did. For instance, I know that Yvan is also the all-around alto sax Order champion and that he defeated Lisa Simpson in order to gain it. And that Diandra, the Council ******, is the all-around baritone champion.
Milena: What might Valora do in the Jedi Council room, on Coruscant?
Meanwhile, Milena and Kate used their ship, some cruiser with a hull that comes directly from Star Trek drawing boards, to fly in hyperspace towards Coruscant.
In the Council room, Valora is waiting for Yvan to sort out the truth.
Yvan: Kate's project is certainly a phony. I'd never forgive whatsoever trouble Odion gave you. But the truth is, Odion is a liar!
Diandra: I sense you're trying to take over a musical title of the Jedi Order. Hopefully not mine or Yvan's, not even Ki-Adi-Mundi's. Because Ki-Adi-Mundi is the punk/rock French horn champion.
Kate and Milena raced through the Jedi Temple from the immense starport nearby to the Council room, when they received a message from Earth stating that Odion is just a substitute and his project is declared void.

Tara: I am the invited soloist in your school's mid-year concert. Why didn't they use a Terran soloist rather than me? I'm the dry fluting champion of the Jedi Order.
Kate: I'm feeling in the Force that your psionic reactor is turning red!
Milena: Don't worry for Tara! She is smart and powerful enough to find out by herself.
Kate: Control tower, this is the Arlonway. Requesting authorization to take off.
Control tower: Roger, Arlonway.
Kate puts the Arlonway (a Versago- or Intrepid-class cruiser) in hyperspace back to Earth.
Tara: Kate, you share something in common with me.
Kate: What?
Tara: We're Jedi masters! The real project, I know what it is. Each team will be formed around somebody who tries to live normally despite his/her functions.
Kate: But I thought your psionic reactor was red hot!
Tara: I found this out before my brain overheated.

Tara is an ex-Councillor, being expelled from the Order on Yoda's command. Because of a court order, Tara has been reinstated after Yoda had been sentenced to 30 years of prison, on Dagobah, for 58 abusive expellations.
Back at school, Kate and Valora sense that some students have missed their classes.
Kate: Why did you miss class like that?
Dede: The current rules of the school allow students to lawfully miss their courses, but only if their teacher is at least 20 minutes late. In the case of the P.E. teacher, he was 43 minutes late. And for the Social Studies class, it have been outright cancelled for today. Because the principal claimed that all substitutes were working at the same time. By the way, I'm excluded because I'm training four hours a day with one of the college coaches.
Tara: I'm the Social Studies teacher. I'm announcing a contest: every piano-playing student will be eligible. The students must audition and the grand prize is to partake in every concert I'm going to play in.
Kate: I guess you'll be playing the flute part in a flute/piano concerto, isn't it?
Tara: That is correct, Kate. You certainly are very skilled with the Force.

Kate: I don't know, Valora, if you play keyboard, I guess keyboards will do. Tara said the auditions were for piano or keyboard-playing students, so I guess the auditions are for the piano or the keyboard only. In music class, you have the electric guitar. Kate: It is now time to go home, my Spanish class has also been cancelled, this time because of funding problems. It's final, Valora, you can audition.
Katie: You don't want to see me train in drinking? I want to win the New Orleans drinking triathlon. You don't quite know what is a drinking triathlon. I want to focus on the beer 1,500 mL drinking race also, since the drinking triathlon starts with 200 mL of vodka or other drink who is about 40% of alcohol, two liters of beer and finally 750 mL of wine.
Kate: When is it?
Katie: You can't attend that. But the Christmas trip is already set: we're going on Coruscant this year, thanks to Milena and Tara!
Kate goes back to her home.

Next, when Valora and Kate go back to school, it's Monday and they noticed that there are many last-ditch substitutes. Most of them are Jedi. The communiqué states that due to the hurricane, the school board decided to cut the payroll funds of all schools who were left intact to fund the repairs on other schools. That means most teachers were in lock-out and the school board authorized every school affected to take their substitutes by any means necessary.
Kate: Alice, are you a Force user? Because I'm a Jedi Master. Here are my friends: Valora Bastet, Jedi Padawan and apprentice of Tara Whitten, the History teacher of both of us and Milena Sae, Jedi Master and Councillor.
