Any idiot knows water is a triangular polar molecule, with an asymmetrical distribution of charge. O nuclei drawing e- from H nuclei leaving the region around those nuclei with a net positive charge and therefore xmarks the spot a water molecule is intrisic in its electrically polar structure. __________________

I think what you mean and I shouldn't be cruel really is, water is a solvent for polar molecules because it weakens electrostatic forces and hydrogen bonds between polar molecules, am I right? __________________

I lost the ability to actively recall knowledge of Chem110 (the equivalent of Chem101 where your from I'd wager) after I found out I passed it well.
