Dear God...why do threads like this persist? There is no wrong answer to the question of this thread. I think KOTOR is better...what right do other people have to say my personal opinon is wrong when it is my opinon? It would be no diffent if someone said ROTS was better and I told them they were wrong, I would be wrong to tell them so.

Indeed. Stating opinion is one thing; quoting me and telling me I'm wrong and that KOTOR pwns all as FD did is another.

So what! The PT sure as hell did better than KOTOR. KOTOR is a game that has different outcomes. The storyline is a web. Stop comparing it to official canon and the ACTUAL movies, which birthed KOTOR.

What the hell are you talking about, the PT is just GL wiping his ass and putting it on film.

Kotor's story was much better i thought!! seemed like the writers actually TRIED to write a decent dialogue

Just asking because being interrested: What kind of "standards" did the OT set ? Plotline development ? Character development ? Fights ? Special effects ?

The movies are a piece of art just like the game is a piece of art. Since when can "art" be objectively judged ? It's all a matter of your subjective likes and dislikes. So you can say "I like KotoR better." or "I like ROTS better."

ROTS

One thing is for sure, KOTOR has better dialogue than ROTS. ROTS, I Mace, Yoda, Obi wan, and Palpatine were all great. .

Now for General Grievous, a two minute character with two minute buildup. When he died I did not feel the same regret as when Dooku died. He really didn't receive enough build up for any form of attatchments from the audience.

For Portman, is it just me or did everyone feel she acted poorly? Hayden, I thing everyone can agree was forced and wimpy for the "vaunted" position of Anakin Skywalker. Their dialogues, IMO, were either cheap or hopelessly sappy and pathetic. They overacted in so many positions. At many times their voice seemed to either lack emotion, or have too much of it. It's to bad, because they were what propelled the story forward.

The plot/story was well done. The problem though was we all knew what would end up happening. That reduces a lot of the suspense, which really detracts from the movie experience. The music was superb , I hand it to Williams on that.

KOTOR.

The characters were superb to say the least. You explore each of them, their backgrounds and what makes them tick. You see Revan develop with them. Revan and Canderous for example grow to respect one another because of their experiences at war. The dialogue seems perfect for each character, and their voices were of cinemaesque quality. KOTOR beats out ROTS in this area, hands down. At some points the voice acting was poor, but usually these were limited to random encounters with NPCs.

The story was also excellent, especially the part where we discover the PC was actually once the dark lord of the Sith. Interesting plot twists could be made, with Revan falling in love with either Carth or Bastila. Also, the Star Forge, the uber weapon of destruction plot was fitting.

The music was good, but still does not beat down ROTS. KOTOR loses here.

So IMO, KOTOR was a bit better than ROTS.
