In the Ep III book (which I take as canon as much as the movie) I believe it said that because Grievous is an android he's better than a normal humanoid life form in areas such as speed and reflexes. that right there would enhance his lightsaber fighting ability. I also wouldn't doubt that his eye sight was enahnced a bit, it would give him the ability to sense things sooner, I think (periferal (sp) vision and things such as that) which in turn would give him better reflexes to go along with his faster than normal arm and leg movements.
He doesn't need jedi reflexes to weild a saber for those reasons. (sorry if this was already said but I didnt read the last couple of pages cuz its late. And please, if you dont agree, please dont bash.

The wait now ends.
From four corners smoke plumes into a reddened sky.
In the face of lantern light, Tonight my destiny lies.
This day so hallowed, from here to forever its will I will follow.
Tonight will come to life.
Deadened branches stirred by the whispers in the wind.
Fall Children fill the streets at dusk, at last, it all will begin...
JESUS......how did this thread get so popular? And how did it get so crappy?
Here's a few things:
1. ANYONE can wield a lightsaber. Go ahead and pick up a flashlight. Then start swinging it around...WOW....you can use a lightsaber....no force needed.
2. Somebody said a moronic comment like Grievous can use the force even though he has only a small part of his body left, just like vader. Here's a thought: VADER was trained in the jedi arts, then in the sith way. He had the highest number of midichlorians that ever existed in a single being (till Luke i suppose). When he got both arms and both legs cut off he lost a substantial ammount of those midichlorians. BUT having had so many, he could still use the force quite effectively, given that he was controlling it and not just unleashing it like raw power. About Grievous, it states NOWHERE that he had a high number of midichlorians BEFORE he was "droid-ized", let alone AFTER that. He was also NEVER taught how to use the force. He was taught how to fight with lightsabers, how to use unorthodox methods such as using his legs for attack in combat against Jedi, he was taught how jedi fight, he was taught how to hold a lightsaber just right
And yeah, that's EU, but it gives a rational explanation for what happens and/or is said in the movies.
3. Grievous NEVER in the toons (EU) or in the movie (canon) deflected shots at him, laser bolts, etc. (i might be wrong, but that's how i remember it). He simply AVOIDED being hit. He used his mechanically enhanced speed and reflexes to RUN AWAY from the shots taken at him. He was basically dodging the shots while also getting closer to the one shooting. That is VERY different from how Jedi use the force to have a precognitive ability to sense where the shots are coming from and deflect them with the lightsaber.
4. Jesus....he didn't have force powers.....wth is wrong with some people?????
I'm fixing to close this thread due to sheer ignorance. Grievous does NOT have the Force! Look at all the evidence we've mounted up against you, all the theories we've debunked.
The best you can come up with now is that "well they never said he did or didn't have it". I DON'T CARE!
He does not have Jedi/Sith potential. All living beings, including androids, have the Force flowing through them, some more than others. But Grievous is not one of them with the most midichlorians.
Ken, Dodo, Ast, they're all anti-EU. And their evidence doesn't have to do with EU. As for what i said in my previous post, read it again and see the non-EU stuff.
