Hrm. I slept through Wind Waker and still beat it with probably 2/3 of my hearts against Ganon.
...Twilight's final boss actually had me stumped for a while (I couldn't figure out how to wrangle the giant warthog thing). Still beat it on the first try....but with only about 2-3 hearts, and needing all of my jars, and a fairy hiding in the rocks during the sword duel.
...
Twilight was loads better than WW, but both were way too easy. That's probably my biggest complaint of both.

I agree that wind waker was too easy, bu i didnt find TP was easy at all, i thought it was a very solid zelda game that was really challenging at some points
and im really interested to see if phantom hourglass will be any good

I thought pretty much all post Ocoraina (spelling?) console Zelda games were good. Of course I'm not very far in TP, I just beat the big bug in Zora River.
I also like how WW and TP are like "semi-squels" to OOT. It makes it feel more like your playing a series, and not just standalone games witht he same title.

what i love about all of the zelda games, is that it is one huge story, that takes place over thousands of years
and sure, people try all the time to try ad figure out the Zelda Timeline, but the glory of it is, unless nintendo announces it, no one will ever know the order
so you can play these games totally out of order and still understand the story, what happens to hyrule in the time between each game
and even if there are a few crappy games, it is still one of greatest, if not the greatest series of games of all time

yeah, there are a few games that you can put in some order, but the mystery of it all will always be unkown, which is another big part of why i look forward to each new zelda game, to see where the next piece fits itno the puzzle

Not been here for ages! O_O Finally got a Wii a few months ago & finished TP three times. Does that sound sad? It was fun every time! :P Loved it very much! Oh my, such a lovely game & the best Zelda game ever! Ocarina of Time was my favourite, but it's now at second place because TP is just awesome!
SPOILERS! I can't do the highlight thing...
It was challenging & fun to play through the temples. I got stuck in the Water Temple because I didn't know I had to Clawshot a target to make the stairs move. The other one was in the desert but I can't remember where I was stuck...
Fun puzzles, mini bosses & of course main bosses, wow! I loved the water & sky temple bosses, but the others were great too! ^_^ Great storyline too. It's much deeper, darker & in some ways personal with some characters.
SPOILERS AGAIN!
Link was hurt when Ilia just looked at him when in the bar then turned away like she'd never seen him before is one of them.
Great new items too like double Clawshot & Zora Armor (yay, swimming underwater!) The spinner's cool too & very different. Ganondorf was such fun to battle. Four parts, you what!? Awesome! Puppet Zelda, Ganon, horse battle then the greatest showdown with the Dark Lord himself!
The ending was really sad & it was sad to see Midna go & I wish she could stay, but I know she can't & wouldn't change that, even though they'll never see each other again. She's a main character too & never before has a main character just appear once & never again. Maybe they will see each other again, but I highly doubt it. There's got to be the Mirror to cross worlds & it was shattered.
I recommend playing this game, even if you've never played a Zelda game. If you like action, adventure, puzzles, temples, bosses etc then try it out! It was challenging & fun to play through the temples. I got stuck in the Water Temple because I didn't know I had to Clawshot a target to make the stairs move. The other one was in the desert but I can't remember where I was stuck...

It took me 52 hours and 24 minutes to beat the Wii edition, but goddammit, I did it. I took the long route and bought a strategy guide so I can find all of the heart pieces, golden bugs, and poes without having to constanly reference unreliable internet game FAQ sites. Therefore, I scored all bugs to get the giant wallet, all 45 heart pieces, and all 60 of those damnable poes so I can free the golden guy, Jovani, from his curse. Call me tenacious, but I feel a strong sense of satisfaction.
Maybe now I'll pop in the Wind Waker and see how much I can do with it and a strat guide, seeing as how it's been almost 2 years since I've played it.

I've had Zelda since I got a Wii in November, but I haven't played it for a while. I was too frustrated being stuck in the stupid underwater maze/cave/whatever place...the one with the stupid stairs that turn when you pull on the chain thing...
Any reliable places to find a guide around that?

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. The last time I tried using an online FAQ was for Super Paper Mario (Wii) and it was innacurate and poorly written.

Normally there is more than one available for each game and it is worth looking around a few. Sometimes they suffer from a lack of objectivity (i.e. what is typed makes sense to the writer but not to a reader) but nearly always nyou can either a. fill the gap with another guidr just for that bit or b. bridge the gap with your own experimentation.
Both options feel better for me than paying out money.

Well, unless it's the Special Edition Twilight Princess guide with embossed cover, gold-edged pages, and cloth map of Hyrule. The guide was worthless, but the book itself is a thing of beauty.
